I have been going to The Fantastic Hairdresser for years now, the staff are super friendly and I really enjoy going there to get my hair done! For my mums birthday last year I took her there for a pamper day, she loved it to and has been coming back since. Would highly recommend it.

Having visited this salon for the first time last month I must say I would defiantly recommend this salon and will be returning again! A little hesitant before my visit, due to not having my hair cut for over a year, I was pleasantly surprised by how understand and helpful the staff were at providing me with recommendations on how to care for my hair (if I plan on leaving it for another extended period of time before my next cut).

The overall atmosphere of the salon was extremely friendly and accommodating and I found to be very personable. One thing I really liked was the questionnaire which was handed to me as a new client, particularly asking about what “type” of hairdresser I’d prefer. I was great to know that I didn’t have to sit there and chat about my weekend, family, friends etc.

Another great thing about this salon was their “Lovely Room” where I was taken to have my hair treatment, which was perfect for a girlie pampering session. Along with the great head massage I received, this room was quiet, with dim lighting and reclining chairs. I must admit it was difficult to stay awake. Finally at the end of my appointment, I happily didn’t receive the “You should buy this product..” speech, which I have had from many other salons before.

Loved the small touches i.e. a KitKat with my tea, and definitely looking forward to my next visit!

In short, this place is ridiculously OVERPRICED, The hair dresser was rude, highlights were less than acceptable and I do not feel like I received the service I asked for. Avoid this place at all costs.
To expand,I paid £55 overall for a T-Section of highlights (which wasn't even a full 'T'), they charged me £10 for a rough dry - I've never been charged for this before, as the whole point of a rough dry is that you DON'T pay to have your hair perfectly dried. So, yes, effectively charged £10 for them to blast a hair dryer through my hair - what a joke!
The highlights themselves were awful: my hair is frazzled from having the bleach on too long and instead of them going from my ears to my parting I had 4 highlights added to the main strip of the 'T' - definitely NOT value for money or a full T-section & I still have roots when I tie my hair back!
As if this place couldn't get any worse, the hairdresser Ceri was rude, didn't smile once and asked me if I wanted to have toner put through my hair without telling me it would cost a further £10!
Basically, this place is total rip off and can I just add that this was on a Friday when they advertised 20% off- (just off the colour not rough dry or toner).I honestly cannot stress how bad this place is, even toni and guy works out cheaper!
Avoid at all costs!!

I have been here many times now and love the service. When you first visit, the salon have a questionnaire of what you want from your visits, if you go to relax, if you want it to be a chatty visit or like to just have a quiet hairdresser (some of us don't care about chatting holidays!!!). It's all tailored to your requirements. All the staff are friendly and the quality of work is quite simply fantastic. The hair washing itself is a treat. A nice head massage always wins my vote!
