Absolutely delightful. They have an amazing selection of .... everything! Even though the shop is the size of my living room, I could spend hours in there deciding what I want to buy! Great selection of quality ingredients that would make anything you're putting together in the kitchen taste a million times better and inspire you to try a new dish or two. Well priced spices, incredible selection of flour, huge array of interesting pickles and enthusiastic and friendly staff are just a few of the things that make this store my favourite in the northeast.

Fantastic little shop in Grainger Market which was recommended to me by a friend. A real delight to shop there too- they are incredibly well-informed, helpful and friendly and stock all sorts of marvellous things that I thought I was going to have to buy online, including proper corn tortillas (which you cannot buy for love nor money in British supermarkets) and chipotle chiles in adobo sauce..mmm indeed! I am definitely going to become a regular customer here.

Great little shop in the bustling Newcastle city centre market 'The granger Market'.
They have all the little bits I need for baking my bread and all the oils i'll ever need to dip them in.
The owners are passionate and dedicated foodies and will always off you some advice.

Was recommended mmm... by a friend, and didn't disappoint. We are not often in Newcastle centre but do go to the Grainger Market when there. Chatted to owners for 20mins about cooking and found them very helpful. Well worth a look in and we will be back.

Mmm... put the deli in delicious. This isn't a run of the mill store - it's a trove of edible treasure!
Not only do they have some of the best food on the (Grainger) market, the staff even give you ideas of what to make with it.
The service is second-to-none, much more customer-friendly than some of the stores in Newcastle.
Would thoroughly recommend a visit to anyone passing the Grainger Market - Mmm... is literally 30 seconds from the new Debenhams.
A real hidden gem.

Mmm is a fantastic little shop tucked away in one end of Grainger market. It sells a bounty of organic produce, notably pastas, chutneys and fresh oils. Incredibly knowledgeable and friendly staff make this a must visit place, especially for foodie types! Everything is reasonably priced too, and don’t be afraid to ask for a sample of any of the delicious oils!

I’m giving this little shop 5/5! I stumbled accross it by accident whilst whiling away time in Newcastle before my lift. Situated in the Grainger Market, I popped into the shop to check out the Olive Oil. I am a huge lover of Greek olive Oil, I can’t stand any other over salad, with bread, to make lentil soup etc. When I asked about the oil, the lovely lady who served me explained that the oil was poured into a bottle from a large supply. Having checked these out in Fenwicks over Christmas, I rolled my eyes and groaned, thinking I was out of luck as it would be a fortune!
Quite the opposite is true. I asked how much. £5.35 for 500ml, freshly poured into a stopper-top glass bottle, £4.35 if you bring the bottle back for refill. I worked out that this is actually very reasonable for good oil, so I took a chance and bought one.
Got home, flipped the lid and smelled the most amazing oil i’ve acquired outside of Greece itself. Top quality, top flavour, beautiful oil from the pelopponese.
I am so grateful as it’s nigh on impossible to get good Greek oil up here in the north of England. I will definitely be going back and I think i know what everyone is getting for Christmas next year. Thank you!!!

Ooh I love this little gem of a shop. Found it by accident but so glad I did. I bought a jar of lime pickle which was the nicest thing I have tasted in a long time. The owner was very helpful and I shall definately be back. Christmas hampers for everyone I feel this year!

I was impressed to see a new market store selling mostly locally sourced produce in the city Centre. I only bought cereal this time around, but they allow you to sample oils, and decant them into your own bottles! It looks to have a real “slow food” ethos.
The web site isn’t really up and running yet though.
Only “short starred” because they are still developing their range.
