The Brudenell Social is Leeds’ diamond in the rough. Situated off a random street in Hyde Park, it offers not only the cheapest pool game in Leeds at a meagre 40p, but also some of the cheapest beer. It’s a working men’s club, but that doesn’t old stop men with tight, glittery t-shirts going wild whenever Duffy pops in for a little sing-along. Indeed, other than being a perfectly nice drinking den (if a little kitsch in places), the Brudenell offers incredibley intimate gigs with unbelievably big artists. Perhaps they like the patchwork crowd of old salts and knowing students as much as I do. Guaranteed unique conversations to be had with some wonderfully eccentric or down-to-earth people.
