Nice staff. The food is very disappointing. The chips were still raw inside. The fish was very greasy. My other friends were also disappointed. One had a burger which was tasteless.
Also very soulless music and atmosphere.
I like this place! Aristos & Chris who run
it & their team of amazing staff are what
makes me go back for more ...... that &
the best fish ever. Great on a hot day to
sit round & chat too. They are generous
funny & care about us locals ...
It gives me pleasure to recommend them!

This is an iconic Fitzrovia chip shop. It's been around forever and has recently been refurbished. The owners Chris and Aristos are real characters and it's worth a visit just to have a banter with them.
Happy Moose Drinker glad to read about the refurbishment. I was worried that it had closed when I last saw it!

I did not appreciate this place enough when it was my local fish and chip shop. I don’t ever remember bad chips from here, not even on a busy friday when i’ve noticed that a lot of places undercook their chips in a rush to meet the demand.
Great chips and the eat in section always looked nice, even though I never took advantage.
Wow, I discovered this place at lunchtime and it was frankly brilliant. I can’t claim it was my idea to go, but I’m full up and very happy right now.
The chips were yummy, my sausage in batter was perfectly coated in the crispiest batter ever and the curry sauce was very perfect.
What shocked me was the price. It was only £3.20 for all of this! And it was a jumbo sausage! Those of you who know the area will know that if you venture onto Charlotte Street it’s not cheap. Would anyone forgive me for using the term ‘cheap as chips’? no. Thought not.
This place has made me happy. It’s also made us all very sleepy and our office still smells of grease and curry sauce three hours later. It’s brilliant.
Wow great food and real value for money in the West End. They have a very cosy resturant at the back which not really visable from the outside but what a find. The fish and chips are quality and the kebabs that are cooked on real charcol are brill. Highly recommend.
