Brilliant Teacher, he has managed to hold the attention of my son for several years now, and it is the one hobby he has stuck at (apart from when he breaks bones)

Blue Yates is probably one of the best guitarists in the region. His music is sublime. He has kindly played at the preview events of my last couple of exhibitions and created a brilliant atmosphere, the audience was blown away. His last two albums 'music for film' and 'the last album' are a must. You can hear a few tracks on last fm via http://www.last.fm/music/Blue+Yates, but if you catch him live you will not be disappointed. He regularly plays gigs around Burton at the Dial and Bar XV. He has such an original and highly visual guitar sound mostly influenced by South American Supper Club Cabaret and the Golden Age of the Flamenco Cafe. Shear brilliance! Catch him play with singer Hayley Di Rito for a totally different more contemporary pop sound.
