This place is now a regular haunt for me, offering a pleasant meal without a huge financial commitment.
I am on a mission to collect Nectar points and this Brewer's Fayre offers this too.
On various days of the week there is a special offer of food and drink. Friday nights, for instance, is the chip shop supper - I usually have scampi and chips and a pint of Boddington's. It's great value for money, friendliness of the staff and the standard of food & presentation is consistently good.

We visited this restaurant last week for our daughters 5th birthday ( her choice ) as it has a childrens play area.
And it was an awful experience, we were all very dissappointed!
The staff were the most miserable, uninterested team i have ever seen in a restaurant and i eat out regularly.
For a massive chain surely they could do better and if not employ new staff! The manager of this restaurant is obviously not pulling their weight here as the staff were doing what they wanted and really couldnt be bothered with anything.
Needless to say we wont be visiting here again or advising anyone else to waste their money at this place!
Try The Harvester instead!

First and foremost this place is for families so if you expect a relaxing meal go in the day.
The food quality and choice is adequate and if you listen carefully you can hear the microwaves ping in the kitchen as you wait for your food.
If kids rated it they'd give it 5 stars. In summary it's a great place to keep the kids occupied.

Visited today for the first time in a few years and was very pleased with everything. It was a lovely sunny day and actually warm enough to sit outside at one of the wooden tables, even though it was February! I enjoyed the Costa latte (and free biscuit); my husband was in raptures over the draught Guinness, but the best thing was the excellent, friendly service from the barman who was delightful and made us feel really welcome. We will definitely return and try one of the meals (when I shall update this review)!

I must agree with Steeps I found the Sandpiper to be extremely grubby and more of a childrens play area than a place to have a relaxing meal. Dont get me wrong I understand that this is a family pub however whilst we visited there was a childrens party and in every corner of the pub seemed to be an unattended child.
The smell wafting from the toilets despite there being a door was horrendous and we moved tables because of it.
Prices didnt seem to bad but my food arrived burnt and overcooked meaning I sent it back.
All in all I did not enjoy dining here and would not return.

Didn’t really enjoy our experience here. The restaurant was grubby and the table and cutlery were dirty. The food was mediocre and overpriced and the place was packed with children who did not seem to have anyone looking after them. Not a place to go if you fancy a quiet pub lunch as it was a bit like being on a primary school outing.

The Sandpiper is easily found and is an excellent family pub. It’s play area is a decent size and costs around £2-£3 for 2 hours play. It also has a small outdoor play area. The pub boasts a large free car park and I have never had a problem getting a table there. The menu is good, you order and pay at the bar before your meal.
The play area does have quite a few video games and toy grab machines which means that Mum and Dad will probably get nagged for the odd £1. I would say that this establishment is well used and it reflects in the condition. Children are asked to wear an apron when they enter the play area (This has a tag in it which alerts staff if the child leaves the premises) however I have to say they is no way I would have considered putting them on my children simply for the reason that they were dirty and smelt terrible.
That aside I have spent many afternoons here and enjoyed them all. Friendly staff and pleasant food make this an ideal family location.

The Nectar points have stopped but the food is still consistent and the service is friendly.
