Conmux Blechbilder Bar, Friedrichshain, Berlin

I didn’t like this bar too much.
The atmosphere was not inviting but we were freezing so we went inside.
Coffee and tea were okay, service was okay.
I’d choose a different cafe the next time we get to Friedrichshain.

This place deos not even deserve the one star I have given it.

The staff are slow and unfriendly, the beer is moderate at best, and the food is expensive and average. You can wait 30 minutes to be served, then another 20 to get your drinks. Expect to wait an hour and a half for your food.

This review does not come from an isolated incident either. I live very close to the bar and tried to give it a chance, assuming that they had bad days, but it does not get better. I will not be returning.

Very uninspired menu, OK prices, generally inattentive service. The best thing about Conmux is its location. I continue to go there because all I order are drinks and I enjoy people watching. Last time I was there the server was on a break and continued to smoke and chat with some regulars, pausing to scowl at me every few seconds. After he finished his cigarette he stayed and chatted a bit more, although it was clear that I was ready to order, he was standing ten feet away from me.

Good place to go with your friends if you're not particularly bothered about service or selection and just want to absorb the hustle and bustle of Simon-Dach Straße at whatever time of day.

The pub Conmux provides a homebase for those who do not need state of the art design. Unchanged for more than 10 years, out of any fashionable gadgets. Conmux was the very first pub in Simon-dach Strasse.
Nice atmosphere + nice people = nice time
