City Road Fish Bar

mitchp what are you on about mate??? I live in Tividale and within a 5 min drive I have the choice of going to 7+ chippies and everytime me and my family will always go City Road even though I literally live 3 doors from another chippy.

By far in terms of the quality of food and especially service they are exceptional the only reason why I’m unable to give 5 stars is becuase they don’t do pizzas but their battered chips are always crispy on top and fluffy inside…in fact after writing this I got to go get me some fish & chips :)

Oh yes! I now have the satisfaction of writing a review of this so called fish and chip shop.
To start the chips are very stodgy with no taste all, imagine a mouth full of mashed potato after every chip, and the batter on the fish is like a sheet of crispy grease, now I know what your thinking thats exactly what batter is but this is just not nice.

The other products they sell such as your everyday chip shop items are ok, but as far as the fish and chips go I would not touch with a barge pole.

If you would actually like to try these for yourself, they are average price but for avergae food.
