Ticks all the boxes for me; great surroundings, latest fashion mags, cool music, lovely professional staff and I always leave with a blow dry that lasts days (my hair is fine but there is loads of it so I struggle to get a day out of most blow drys). Enjoyed a glass of bubble while I was there which I highly recommend - put me in the perfect mood for a night out.
Oh, and my stylist noticed my nails could do with a refresh and suggested I could DIY my nails during the blow dry - a little nail painting kit was produced with loads of different colours to choose from (free of charge!). Brilliant idea and great service! Thanks ladies!

Loved the Blow Bar!! :) Staff were so warm and welcoming!! They even managed to squeeze me in very last minute, which was much appreciated. Decided to go for long loose curls—a lovely soft/ feminine look. Received many compliments on my hair all evening!! Will certainly be back again soon…

I had a designer blow dry at the blow dry bar in angel and It was awful. I asked for a straight smooth blow dry but the result was far from it. It wasn’t smooth bouncy professional blow dried result that I was hoping for. And my hair was left still a little damp. I could blow dried better myself without having to pay the £28 cost.
My suggestion is to stick to a real hairdresser salon to get your hair blow dried and at least you will get your hair done by a trained hair dresser who would know how to do at least a basic blow dry.

I go to the blow bar once a week, and every time i leave in better mood than when i came. The outcome is always picture perfect because the lovely ladies who work there are superbly talented, even the regular wash is heaven! They’re always smiling and accommodating, yet very professional and attentive. I’m hopelessly addicted and don’t plan on doing a thing about it ;).

I did not enjoy my experience at the blow bar for the following reasons:
1) I did not get what I wanted: I said that I wanted something very simple, but ended up looking like I was going to a wedding (big curls everywhere)
2) The technique was neither quick nor efficient. It looks like the person who took care of me had never done this before: I was left with brushes in my hair for extended periods of time (so that the hair would “curl better”). 3 brushes left in my hair at the time x 2 minutes means that it took 40 minutes to do a blowdry. What a joke! The hairdresser I usually go to can blowdry my hair in 15 minutes
3) The result was short-lived. My hair felt dirty because of all the products that were put on it, and I had to wash it again the next day.
4) The worst part is, at £26 it was more expensive that my usual hairdresser (located just 5 min away on chapel market). I felt very foolish for changing shops.

Im the owner of the Blow Bar and very sorry to hear that your experience was not what you expected. This is our first bad review in almost a year of being open which I take as a good sign. We have taken your feedback on board and thank you for your honesty.
Kind Regards Emma Rees

This place is THE place to go to get your hair blow dried or put up into a cool style. I’ve known the owner for a while as she did my hair for me and my bridesmaids when I got married.
All the staff are lovely, it’s in a great location on the lovely Camden Passage AND it’s great value.
I can’t recommend it enough.

I have had my hair bow dried by Emily twice and she really listens to what I want and does a great job. I go a great bouncy wavey look but a girl before me got a fishtail plait which looked amazing!
Its a lovely bustling place and everyone is so friendly, not at all like some snooty salons. They do a well timed service, quick enough but not so you feel rushed and cant relax.
Love it and will be back!!

If you haven't been to Islingtons trendy new BlowBar yet, you've got to get down there before your next night out. After a cheeky little shopping trip along upper Street to choose an outfit to wear for that evening, i popped into Blow bar and came out feeling a million dollars....i was even given a cupcake while having my hair styled!!! This little gem would not look out of place in a Sex and The City episode...what a perfect addition to the super stylish Camden Passage....i will be making a weekly visit.

Gorgeous salon right in the middle of Camden Passage. I loved the warm welcoming, the attention to detail and the whole concept. I went in the morning and my style lasted all day/evening. The styles to choose from are all so fabulous that I had trouble selecting - I wanted them all! Can't wait to go back to try another. Highly recommended.
