STANWICK LAKES

my kids love stanwick lakes, and quite often go here in the summer holidays with nana and grandad has a great adventure playground, with loads for the kids there is slides, water play area and sandpits, plus lots more, can get a bit muddy when the rain falls the scenery is fantastic and runs along an old dissued railway line, so great for walks or cycling as if you cycle from here you can get to thrapston althong this dissued path under many of the old railway bridges. this is a good place to visit on a sunday afternoon, you have to pay for parking or you can get a season ticket if you are a regular visiter which works out cheaper, last time we visited it was £2 in the summer and £1 in the winter to park. there is also an assault course a little walk to your right towards irthlingborough. they often have special events throughout the year as well. there is now a cycle shop where you can hire bikes.

A fantastic well looked after attraction which already offers so much and yet is still developing. The childrens playground is outstanding adn I have visited with children from 9 mths - 16 years and they have all found something to entertain. As you explore further there is a assault course and a climbing rock and on a lake a bit further away from all teh noise there is a dedicated fishing lake. An open air theatre has opened in the last year and occasional performances have taken place there. There are special events days throughout the year when the rangers put on extra activities. Because the area is wuite large it is still possible to get away from teh crowds and bikes are for hire for those without them.

this is a lovely family day out! there is a lovely play area for the kids. my girls loved it. there is big climbing frames and lots of sand and water to play in. the walks around the lake are lovely. there is a nice cafe which we stopped in after and had a coffee and the kids had a nice ice cream. I would say to bring a change of clothes for the kids as my got really messy and wet playing

this is a great place i go here a go alot with my boys, great walks , play area (made of wood) sand and water to play in.cafe onsite, bike hire , great santa at christmas, all for £2 parking

the play area built from wood is great for kids & 'big kids’
there’s a really interesting interactive water feature also built from wood in the same area
it is exposed to the elements, so wouldn’t be much fun if the weather was bad

Yay! I love coming here! Its always such fun for us and the kids!

There is a very big childrens park made out of wood and rope. Swings, climbing frames, slides, steps its all here! And there are toilets nearby.

For the adults and bigger teens, there is a big assault course a short walk away….

There is so much I havent seen at Stanwick Lakes as Ive been limited by the children but Im very pleased by what I have seen!

I think parking is £1-£2 depending on the season.
