Review of Rutland Cycling from 6 October 2011

Hired 2 bikes from the cycle centre at Edith Weston. (There are several rental locations round the lake.) Route is not always well marked and there are cattle grids and gates to look out for which slow you down a bit so allow plenty of time for 17 mile ride. However it is an excellent way to spend an afternoon, the bikes were well-maintained and comfortable. Good choice of bikes, we hired a hybrid and a mountain bike. No locks provided but available for purchase in shop. Hats also available for hire.

Shop is worthy of visit by any cyclist for any type of kit.

Car park charges in addition to cycle hire

Poor service, ordered two bikes one has been cancelled after the order went through due to being out of stock and the other arrived late and damaged and has had to be sent back.

Wouldn’t recommend them, slow an poor service

Great price, Great Service and a great range. Just bought a Kona 2011 bike from them and very pleased with it.

Would higly recommend them for BMX bikes, and accessories too.

ordered a bike form Rutland Cycles and to be honest a bit disapointed.

I knew what i wanted and it was free delivery so ordered online - I put a cheeky note asking f the bike could be delivered in time for the weekend in 4 days time - but it took them 8 days to deliver(!) - when it was delivered there was no delivery note and the box was open all the way along the top as well. then I had to tighten up the bottle cage bolts as they were loose and nearly falling out.

Although I wont buy a bike again in a hurry I think they could improve on their customer service quite a bit.

This is a great day out if not a tiring one!. plnty of choice of bikes at various prices to hire, it gets very busy in the summer i would recommend getting there early to avoid dissapointment. Kids have a fantastic time and it has the benefit of being a healthy family day out. I would advise taking packed lunches as food round the water area i expensive particulaly if you have a family. The have a selection of cycles with attachments for carrying small children so all the family can enjoy.
