It is an excellent and pretty large local history museum. There was some great work by staff to interact with visitors and offer demonstrations. The museum is much bigger than expected and we did not really have time to see it all and only just managed to grab a cream tea (very nice) in the cafe. Reccommended.

Milton Keynes Museum used to be called Stacey Hill Museum and it’s home to a large collection of items that people would have used in every day life or farm life around the area where Milton Keynes now exists. It’s laid out so you can easily see how the different elements of every day life took place and how lots of the objects were used, there’s a room set out as a victorian kitchen, and a little mini street complete with cobbles and window displays for a variety of shops you might have found back then. Really worth while visiting and good for giving kids a feel of what life in the victorian era was like. Everyone there is really helpful too and will explain things if you ask them.
