Brilliant service.  Fixed my mobile phone after it had fallen in a sink of water. Friendly staff, fast turnaround and great price.  Very happy.

I needed a new screen for my iPhone 4. Found Techbytes website so easy to use &, unnlike iPhone repairs in Edinburgh, I knew exactly how much it was gonna cost for the repair! I went to the shop on Duke Street and the guy in the store couldn't have been more helpful. He tested the phone & discovered there was a fault with the motherboard, but still only charge the £40 quoted for a replacement screen. These guys definitely get 5 gold stars!!!!!

Feared the worst for my laptop as it had effectively died of what I was warned may be an expensive hard drive problem.  However Techbytes had it fixed and returned to me within days for an amazingly good price.

Couldn't decide where to take the laptop because a bad review can really put you off a place but all the reviews of Techbytes were very good, and deservedly so.  From the website, to the shop (Duke Street branch),to the friendly knowledgeable staff it was an impressive and reassuringly professional operation. I will definitely be using them again.

I have a faithful eight year old Dell Inspiron 630m and out of the blue it stopped working last week. All I could get was a black screen with a one line error message! After asking around my friends and colleagues the consensus seemed to be that I had lost all my data and needed a new hard drive :'(  I went into a total panic and searched Google for someone that may be able to help and I found TechBytes.  There are two shops in Glasgow - one in the East End on Duke Street and the other in the West End on Dumbarton Road. WHAT A FANTASTIC SERVICE!! These guys are very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable, and their prices are brilliant!  They recognised right away how stressed I was and were quickly able to diagnose my computer's problem. It was such a huge relief when they told me my data was safe! Like a lot of folks I'd planned to back up my system, but somehow never got around to it so you can imagine my distress when I thought I had lost my photographs, home movies and documents!   My computer was ready for collection 48 hours later - and is as good as new!! I was SO relieved, and the price was such a surprise - £49 to diagnose the problem and completely repair my computer! I can't fault this service and would certainly recommend TechBytes to anyone who is faced with a computer crisis, doesn't know much about IT themselves and is looking for an honest diagnosis and a very reasonably priced repair.  I am SUCH a happy customer :)   Thank you TechBytes :)

TechBytes are just fantastic, my daughter broke her i pod 4 (beyond repair said apple and another city centre repair shop). 1 year later i just happened to mention the i pod to TechBytes in duke street. Yeah, sure, bring it it, i will fix it. They were very friendly and confident and i thought i would give it a go.
Couldnt believe my ears when they phoned 24hrs later to say it was ready.....bargain price of £49 for such a big repair....i would reccomend TechBytes all day long. My daughter looked as though she had just been reunited with a long lost friend... all in all TechBytes have made me very happy.

TechBytes are my heros!  First of all contacted them through their Facebook page to discuss the issue and get a quote, they got straight back to me and with a really great price.  Took my PS3 into Duke Street store on Thursday evening and Chris was great, excellent customer service and he described how the process works and gave me a detailed receipt which includes a tracking number so they (and you) always know where your item is at any time and the problems etc.  Got my PS3 back on the Saturday, super quick service, great price and it also comes with a 3 month guarantee! So overall, I would definetly recommend these guys if you need consoles, computers etc fixed and want great friendly customer service, which can sometimes be rare in Glasgow!

Service was outstanding. I phoned at 11.30am to report my laptop not working and I was very stressed as it had my dissertation on it and it was due in a week. The service was excellent and Chris reassured me he would be able to restore my files. I took the laptop straight over and after 5 minutes he had restored my files and i had my dissertation backed up to a USB. The laptop was also repaired less than two hours later and the price was excellent.

As a not very computer literate silver surfer I was was greatly impressed with the service I got from these chaps. Right from the initial phone call I felt that they knew what was what. I had two laptops for repair, one was a straightforward screen replacement but I had damaged the back-up discs for the other one. I was pleased at how the laptops had their details scanned in and at how I was asked to check that the job descriptions were correct. It turned out that a specific hard drive had to be sourced for the second laptop and it was a bigger job but I was kept fully informed by text and phone calls about how things were progressing. Both Kyle and Arfaan were very friendly and informative and I was also happy with the reasonable costs.

Excellent service, repaired my PS3 in no time and at a very reasonable cost. Great communication from these guys. Would highly recommend.

After searching the internet looking for somewhere to take my laptop to for repair, I came across Techbytes. They responded quickly to my emailed enquiry and were helpful when I subsequently dropped off my laptop. The screen needed to be replaced which because of the make of my laptop took a while to source a replacement, but they kept me informed of that. The cost was reasonable too. Would recommend Techbytes.

TechBytes Glasgow provides a strong customer focus and are good for both pc repairs and new custom built pc’s.
Chris Newton provided a single point of contact and diligently navigated repairs to my custom built pc within the agreed cost and timescale. I was impressed with the customer focus. I was also impressed by their creative and technical skills demonstrated by their new build custom pc architecture portfolio commissioned.
My computer was six 6 years old. It had performed well. Windows XP Professional was a stable and faithful platform. Architectural modelling, applied graphics and rendering were taking up too much time.
I arranged an appointment with Chis at TechBytes to discuss my custom build requirements. Performance and VFM was the set criteria. Chris presented three 3 options and recommended the option that included the NVIDIA Geoforce GTX 590 DirectX graphics card. During the build process I met with Chis on two 2 occasions to verify components and record progress to agree interim payments.
The computer was completed, certified by warranty, commissioned and installed by TechBytes 16 calendar days from the agreement to proceed. The display resolution of 2560 × 1440 provided by the GTX 590 combined with the performance of the Inter Core i7 2600 3.4GHz processor goes beyond my expectations. I do not intend to list the full specification as you can contact Chris if you are interested. Since commissioning Chis has phoned me twice to ensure continued Client satisfaction. He wants to review the position with a visit in 90 days.

These guys were really helpful first of all when my laptop hard drive failed (they backed everything up, installed a new drive and ensured that everything was set up and working, all for a reasonable price) and some time later when I decided to buy a new laptop (they made a good recommendation, ordered the computer and again set it up). The new computer did take a few days longer than expected to arrive, but this was mainly because the model I wanted was no longer available from the supplier – they recommended a different model instead, which I am now happily using.

When my beloved launch PS3 became the victim of YLOD (Yellow Light Of Death) syndrome, it was quickly online to find somewhere that could repair for a reasonable price. I stumbled upon Techbytes and, after much reading reviews (that were mainly PC related with a few consoles thrown in), I decided to give them a try.

After explaining what I thought was wrong with it, a few more questions seemed to point that I was right. Handing it over, price and an explanation of their turn around time was given along with a book in receipt (they scanned the console’s serial no) so if needed, I could check on the progress of the repair. I was pleasantly surprised to be notified 2 days later via text that my console was ready to be picked up, despite having been told that it might have been longer due to high demand.

The receipt I got when I picked the console up detailed what exactly had been done to the console and for the price (£69 for YLOD repair at the time of writing), it was worth it (compared to the price of purchasing a new console). Considering that the repair is covered for 3 months, I don’t think that you can go wrong. Have no trouble in recommending them :)

Excellent customer service, great company to deal with, very professional and friendly – easy access to shop , no problem with parking – very quick repair (at very reasonable cost) of Medion desktop power failure and dvd drive problem – 5* recommendation will definitely use TechBytes again
