I can’t separate my overall state from the actual experience of the place… so for me Miette will always be bittersweet.

The cupcakes are so INCREDIBLY rich, you probably won’t EVER want to eat more than one. I love chocolate more than most, but this is too much. Then again, it wasn’t one of those sugary sweet days, so maybe on a different day they would have been perfect.

Definitely try it.

This is not a cafe. This is purely a sugar-addict’s drive-by. You can find any variation of treats behind the glass, from chocolate cookies to grapefruit cream cakes. My personal favorites are the princess cake and the French macarons in all sorts of tempting flavors.

I’d skip the cupcakes, which are cost prohibitive and not nearly as delicious as the other treats in the case. Try the rose merengues or the butterscotch pots-de-creme, if you’re lucky enough to catch them with a batch. They sell them rarely and sell out quickly.
