“You must allocate at least one star”...I do not even give this pet shop 1star! It’s terrible! The animals are cute, but the staff are not friendly at all! I have bought two rabbits from here (at different times) and both rabbits had died within 18months! I had another rabbit from a completely different pet shop before I bought the two rabbits from here, and I had him for 6years! The staff at this pet shop told me that the reason for both of my rabbits dying is clearly down to me mistreating them! That is not something you tell a customer!!! I then decided to look alsewhere for another rabbit… A rabbit which I currently have now… And guess what? He is over 18months old! He is 3years old in the next few months! He is one of the healthiest rabbits I have had.
I personally would recommend you look elsewhere if you want a pet animal. I am not writing this review just because of the attitude of the staff towards me… I also did my work experience here and I did not enjoy it at all! I wasnt allowed to touch the animals… They are not handled by anyone… Therefore are more likely to become vicious… Fortunately for me… When I bought my two rabbits from here, I managed to calm them down and they were loving pets… Are you telling me this is known as mistreating??? I also recomend that you do not buy hamsters, birds or any other cage animal from here… The cages are in terrible condition. The hamsters are kept in very small cages with atleast 10 hamsters in one cage… They bite each other and lie in each others mess!
Having done my work experience there I hope people believe this review and consider to look at other pet shops… Try the pet shops on Hawthorn Rd… Animals there are treated and handled properly…
Another thing which disgusted me with this pet shop is their fish tanks… They are in good condition, however, when the fish die the staff pick out the dead fish and throw it on the floor or put it the bucket with no water so it is left there to rot… I witnessed this on my work experience. The fish in the buckets were left there for the whole two weeks of my work experience.
Overall, I am not pleased with this pet shop. The animals here do not deserve to be treated the way they are being treated and the attitude towards customer is out of order. How can they say I mistreat my animals? Two rabbits from the same place died at the same age, with the same disease. Are you telling me this is my fault? My friend also bought a rabbit from this place and again he also died at a young age because of a disease which he had when he was born. My animals are my world! Someday I hope to become a vet or any other work which involves looking after animals.
