I placed an order with Bristol Cameras for some filters a little while ago. They quickly responded to tell me that the filters were not in stock. I called them up and spoke with a very helpful chap who informed me that the filter manufacturers had gone into receivership and he recommended another set of identical filters from a different manufacturer at a lower price, thus saving me money. The filters arrived promptly the next day and they are great!
Fantastic customer service.
I recommend this company and would buy from its people again.

I have bought from Bristol Cameras on more than one occasion, when I needed Blue Water filters for my Sanyo, and then my Sony, cameras, to attach to the underwater casings. Somewhat specialised items, not available from the national chains!
Bristol Cameras not only had these, but they were exceptionally good value, and dispatched rapidly. The only hiccup was that I mistyped part of the credit card details. They notified me by e-mail, a phone call sorted it out, and the filter was with me the next day.
I thoroughly recommend anyone needing photographic equipment, or anything with lenses, or attachments for these, to give Bristol Cameras a look.

My first order from Bristol cameras worked out well. I ordered the Skywatcher AZ mount, basically for the GOTO handset controller. I wanted to fir it to my 12 inch dobsonian. The web ordering was ok but I got great response when i called the shop. I would use them again as they didn't stick the arm in with postage to N Ireland. Some other sellers charge £30 for an eyepiece that insured with special delivery would cost no more than a fiver

ordered a Samsung EX1 on Friday, [noticed they had the best price] just arrived this morning in excellent condition, well packaged.
i had originally called them to make sure this was the real deal, a very polite chap answered the phone, was very helpful with my query.
will certanly do business again, its nice to root for an underdog rather than these big corprate chains, i felt i had a more personal service.
great job Bristol Cameras!!!

Have ordered an underwater housing and strobe for my Olympus EPL1, also a Giottos tripod and panning head for same. All items were not shelf stock items and was advised accordingly. Where I had a delay I was kept informed by email (strobe) The Giottos arrived for collection in store in 3 days.
Polite helpful staff and Obtained my goods at competitive prices

I ordered an underwater housing and strobe - very specialist items. Bristol Cameras had the best price I could find.
No problem with the order or the delivery. I would use them again, but I'd use the telephone rather than the website.
Ordered through the website. Got an automated email. Then had little contact. I emailed but got no direct response. I telephoned and was told the items had been dispatched. They arrived next day.
It seems they are getting on with the job but not relaying it on. When ordering over the internet updates are part of what is expected.
It is explained in the terms (see the link at the bottom of their site) that goods come from the suppliers and are not always on hand in the shop. I think this should be better explained and email updates of delivery estimates would really improve the service.
Overall they got me the goods in a timely manner and at the best price. Can't argue with that!

There are quite a number of online camera shops that are offering their wares over the internet. Sometimes it can be a leap of faith to purchase an expensive piece of kit in this manner. I have come to trust Bristol Cameras and have no fear in placing such an order. I also find that they are very price competitive. I will shop there again.

Best camera shop in Bristol and fantastic website, too. Really helpful staff, competitive prices and if they haven't got something they'll usually be able to order it in for you pretty sharpish!

On Sunday 5th December I ordered an Olivon T90ED spotting scope With 22-68x eyepiece. At £479.00 this was the cheapest deal I could find anywhere online in the UK. I also ordered the Olivon universal adaptor which at £68 was also exceptionally good value.
Bristol Cameras dispatched the order within 5 working days and provided a parcel tracking number. The parcel was strong wrapping directly over the factory boxes
I would buy from them again.
