New ID Studios

My experience of New ID studios was very different to all the above comments. I was pleased with my haircut but the make up and photographs were awful. All our photos had the tops of the heads cut off but trying to get through to them on the phone to complain is impossible.We were also pressured in to buying extra photos. I ended up contacting Virgin, as they offer the makeovers as one of their experience days but even they couldn't help. In my opinion, it's just a big scam, Stay away is my advice.

Sarah is a master at what she does and her creativity with a pair of scissors flows naturally and effortlessly. I have had so many compliments on my hair and pictures from everyone who has seen them. I also appreciate how she listened to my horror stories. She was quick to offer extra advice on how I can better take care of my hair as well.

Ken is also a master at makeup and I can honestly say that I have never looked better, my rather small eyes looked enormous!

The photoshoot took the whole experience onto the next level and the photos blew me away. They were oh so amazing! The whole day flowed seamlessly I think that had something to do with all the free bucks fizz that I drank. I felt fantastic when I sat for my photos. They were able to capture the shots that I really wanted and they were better than I could have imagined.

My whole day out at the Manchester New ID studio was topped when I finally received my prints and my photo frame, which by the way was stunningly beautiful. If you don’t believe me just go and see for yourself it is well worth the money.

I thoroughly enjoyed going to have a makeover at New ID with my sister. She came down for the weekend just to go and get this done with me. We had such a great time, on Saturday we went off shopping for New outfits for the occasion and after a bit of an evening practicing our poses and having such a giggle we turned up to New ID a bit hungover but ready to have a great time. We got a Bucks Fizz, well hair of the dog, as soon as we got there and immediately felt better. We stated out getting our hair washed and conditioned and then cut and blow dried and styled, neither of us wanted anything much different to what we already had but we were both very happy with the styles they chose for us.  We had our makeup done and got rid of those bags under our eyes, they did a great job of that. Then we waited around or a while and took in what everybody else was having done at the studio before we got our turn in front of the camera. We both got hit with a fit of the giggles but the photographer soon got us on the right track, he was clearly very experienced in doing that and we had some incredible shots taken that really took our breath away during the viewing session. We both really loved the staff, and the atmosphere and we are over the moon with the pictures so it really was a very successful day.

I took my son and daughter who are 7 and 9 to New ID for a kiddies photoshoot and we all the most amazing time. The kids were so excited it was really hard to get them to settle the night before, they had spent most of the night dressing up and figuring out which four outfits to take. They both had about 9 the next day so I had to get them to choose. My daughter took her favorite dress, a bikini of all things complete with sun had and sun glasses and her Amy Winehouse outfit that she loves and lastly her new Jeans. The team did her hair really nicely in a French braid that she loved. My son took his football strip, and of course the football had to go to, he took his favorite superman outfit that I think he should have far out grown now and on top of that he took his spaceman rapper outfit and he also took some casual jeans and a T-shirt. They kids had a ball and loved the photographer who was truly amazing with them and got them doing handstands and jumps and all sorts of things. The shots  came out really well.  After a lot of deliberation we got three frames that hold 11 shots each, one for each of their rooms and one for our lounge. OK the shots cost and arm and a leg but are totally worth it and the kids have not stopped going on about going again. This is a very child friendly environment and a great way to get some amazing shots of your kids.

I enjoyed being at New ID. It was the first time that I had ever had a makeover and it was really good. I only went because a friend of mine got me a voucher as a gift. I thought it looked like fun when I had a look online so phoned up and made an appointment and went along. The makeup was a bit heavy, but they have to do that  because the lights in the studio are very bright. So don’t go there thinking that you can go out looking amazing afterwards as it is a bit heavy for use during the day. Looks stunning on the pictures though. I was going to get a CD but fell in love with their display albums so got a lot of small pictures to put in that rather than having CD images. They  all arrived yesterday and look really amazing. I can’t wait for my first coffee morning now so I can show them off to my friends. I got a lot of confidence out of my makeover and I learnt quite a lot about putting on makeup as well so for me it was really good value for money. The staff were nice and did a great job of making me feel good and to my surprise I was not a bit nervous in the shoot. This is a great way to spend a few hours and I am sure one day I will go again.

I really liked New ID and I was very impressed with their range of cosmetics. I like the way that the day pans out there as well. I went with my brother who was not up for it at all and even he had a really great time. He was more than a bit impressed with the haircut he got and he was more than a bit impressed with the good looking girl that did it for him and with the free Bucks Fizz of which his annoying cheeky grin got him a lot more glasses than it got me. However, I want to say that I thought that New ID was a both fun and professional studio. The people that work there are talented and enthusiastic and if it were not for the extortionate prices you have to pay for the prints or the CD images at the end of it it would be the perfect way to spend a few hours on any day of the week but not Saturday because you will spend about six hours there.

I would be more than happy to recommend this experience to anybody of any age and any gender. There were people from all walks of life there and we got along really well with an older couple who were doing this for their golden wedding. I think the vouchers make good gifts as well as long as the recipient can afford the prints or CD images at the end of it. Great makeup as well.

My mum got me a voucher for this place, she did it for my sister when she was eighteen and her pictures are all over the house so I was quite looking forwards to having some of me on the wall looking good. I had a shopping spree the day before I went and got some new clothes to really make the experience. I go to the salon at 9am. It was already pretty busy. I was not going to have wine or bucks fizz at that time in the morning but I felt a bit nervous so decided to go for it and it really did the trick calming down my nerves. The staff at New ID are well cool, they were all dead friendly and very accommodating. I thought they would just tell me how I was having my hair done and how I was to have my makeup done and that would be that, but they really get you involved in the whole process and its really up to you how you want to look. I just told them to make me look great and they did. I loved the photoshoot the best, I love being in front of a camera anyway so this for me was really great. Another girl that was in there was dreading that bit and asked me to have a couple of shots with her till she calmed down, it was well funny. I had a hard time choosing the shots that I wanted because there were so many to chose from and they are not what you would call cheap but they were really good and I cant wait for them to arrive in the post! Takes a few weeks apparently.

My makeover and photoshoot with New ID left me nothing to grumble about. I really enjoyed being in the salon with the cheerful staff and others that were also really enjoying their transformations. It was pretty much what I had expected, I had seen the videos on the website and they give you a pretty good idea of how it is going to be and are pretty true to form.

I thought the deal I had, the Deluxe Makeover and Photoshoot, represented very good value for money. The salon was easy to find. The place was clean and well organized despite being very busy while I was there. The staff certainly know what they are doing and effortless got a lot of people in and out of the doors going out looking considerably more glamorous than they did when they went in I might add.

I would go again. I am not sure how many shots of yourself you can actually want but I would be  happy to enjoy this experience again. I think that for a gift the vouchers are a wonderful idea and if you are stuck for a present this would be a good solution providing the recipient can afford the prints or the CD.

I was at New ID for four wonderful hours and even the times I was not actually having anything done to me it was very enjoyable. Lots of free drinks, Bucks Fizz, tea, coffee etc, I was very happy with it.

Me and my sister thought that New ID were really brilliant and would love to go back again at some time in the future. Even though we brought enough pictures of ourselves to cover the walls of our and two more houses. We were put onto New ID by a friend who had been and loved it. We found a two for one offer on the New ID website and we found that you can get a roll over deal where you pay for your photos before you go and if you are prepared to do that then New iD will deposit the same amount as you did so you have twice as much to spend. We both felt that this was a really affordable experience if you hunt around the site and find the best ways of getting the best deals, its only really a case of checking back for deals and clicking on the more information tab. Our makeover took around four hours and we had lots of free Bucks Fizz. We knew there was going to be no food so we took some snack stuff and they were fine about that. We had a whole heap of fun having our shots taken and neither one of us felt nervous and we both expected to. I think that was due to our confidence in our new looks the staff and especially the photographer who did the most amazing job for us.

I knew I was going to have a good time when I went for my makeover with New ID because my sister had  been for one a few months before I went and she told me what a great time she had and when her pictures turned up even though I could not really afford to go I went along anyway. The deal was cheap enough it’s just the prints that cost the money, the cheapest one is fifty pounds for a small one so you cant get to many but they are so utterly amazing you are going to want to buy tons of them so my advice to anybody that wants to go along and do this is either leave your credit card at home or take somebody else’s! Hair and makeup were both utterly brilliant and I loved the girls that did it for me, very chilled out, chatty, friendly and knew their stuff. Photographer was a really wonderful guy who got some really great shots of me, I loved having that done it was really good fun and the pictures were totally amazing as well. The room you see them in is pretty small, that is a bit of a shame and you don’t get a lot of time to look through them choosing them but other than that I thought it was all pretty perfect and I can’t wait to save up and go again!

My first ever makeover was a huge success and I came out looking loads better than I expected to, I normally look shocking in photographs and really cringe at them but for once in my life I could not take my eyes off how amazing I looked.

I got to the salon at around 10am having found the Deluxe makeover on the New ID website and falling in love with the idea. I simply booked online and paid fifty pound and the next thing I knew was the voucher and information pack came and I phoned up and booked and found myself in the salon a few days later.

I arrived in out of the rain and got a nice hot coffee, was offered Bucks Fizz but I felt it was too early to indulge in that, even though it was free.  Had a chat with the receptionist and then had my hair cut and washed and styled. No sooner was that done I went into makeup and had the most amazing makeup artist make me look stunning.

Then after a wait of about half an hour, that I spent staring at myself in the mirror I finally got to step out in front of the camera for an incredible photo shoot that produced some really amazing pictures. I had to wait an hour to see what they looked like and they were totally amazing. Prices started at 50 pounds and went all the way up to 249 for prints.

I ordered a good selection, paid the ten pounds postage and am now counting the days until I get to see them.

I really liked my time at the New ID salon. I met some really nice people, staff and other customers and I was made to feel very at home there. I took three outfits to have my pictures taken in. I had a really hard time deciding what to take as I had no particularly reason to want any shots of me in the first place. The only real reason that I went was because a girl I work with went with her husband and the shots she now has on her desk have really inspired her to take a bit more time to get ready in the morning and I knew that I could do with the same sort of inspiration. I chose the Deluxe deal because its affordable (fifty pounds) and included hair cut, makeup and a free print as well as free drinks throughout. I think I made the right choice. There was a lady there that had a cheaper deal that did not include the haircut, just having it dry styled and she told me that she really wished she had paid the extra to get the haircut. I did find that there was quite a bit of time spent really doing nothing when all of the staff were busy with other customers but this was the only bit that let it down for me. I had been warned about this when I booked so took a good book along to while away that time but in terms of the makeover itself it was amazing and I was really happy with the very lovely photos.

I just loved being in the Manchester studio of New ID, what a great place to hang out, I loved it and didn’t really want to leave after I had my makeover. I could have spent the entire day there and never got bored it was really cool. I didn’t have any particular reason to be having a makeover. I was just hunting around online with a mate trying to find things to do as it seems to never ever ever want to stop raining. She was going to come too as the makeovers are so cheap, she is a single Mum and on a bit of a budget but she thought that the prints were too pricy at the end and I can see what she is saying. The small ones are fifty pounds each! But it was only twenty five pounds for the makeover and that is the hair, and the makeup, and the photoshoot and you get a free print and Bucks Fizz cocktail all day so that was fine by me and I went on my own.

I asked them to make up their own minds about how to do my hair. I was not bothered how they did it as long as it was a nice and exciting style which it was. They went pretty wild with the makeup as well. I could see a lot of girls in there going for the classic look but I wanted something really funky and that is what I got. I was impressed at the individuality of it all, I was expecting a bit of a conveyer belt affair but it was nothing like that at all.

So, big thumbs up from me and I will be going back again in the future.

My makeover at New ID was pretty cool. I have been a bit bored of my hair for a long time. I have had the same style for years and thought it was time for a change. I was searching about online and came across New ID and thought it was a great idea. I was amazed to see that some of the makeovers were as little as twenty five pounds.  However those did not include a hair wash and cut, only styling. I went for the Deluxe version that included a wash and a cut. I got to the salon a just after 10am for a 10-30 start. I had a bit of a wait when I got in there as I was early but I filled in some forms and they gave me some before and after shots in a portfolio to have a look at, that was great and made it even more exciting for me. My turn came and I had a long chat with the hairdresser who suggested several different styles that would suit me and that I would be able to manage myself. I chose my cut and she did a really good job for me. After that I had to wait about ten minutes for the makeup artist. She did the same as the hair dresser, suggested a few styles and we chose one that would match the mainly evening wear that I had taken along to have my pictures taken in. Once my makeup was done I had to wait half an hour for the photographer. It was all really good but the waiting around got really annoying after a while. The shoot was worth the wait when I got in there, it was good fun and I had a really nice time with the girl that took the shots. Then more waiting, this time nearly an hour to see the shots, but again it was worth the wait. The decision on which ones to have was agonizing but I got there in the end. I think if there was not waiting around time this experience would be very nearly perfect.

I thought New ID were really good. Me and my sister had a makeover with another company a few years ago and they were so bad, it was all sales sales sales, we got the vouchers as gifts from our Aunt that did not know that we had already had a really bad experience doing this before and we were not that keen on going. We had a look online and found lots of really positive reviews on this company so we thought we would go along and if it was no good we would just leave. We only had to pay a twenty five pounds deposit that they pay back if you turn up and if you stick around you get to redeem it on the pictures so we felt we had little to lose really. Then when we booked we found they were doing a really good deal where if you put down some money before you go then they match it so you get double your money. We were still a bit concerned that if it was anything like the other place we would not be sticking around for the shots but in the end we decided to go for it and it was great. Everybody was very friendly and they gave us both amazing haircuts and makeovers. We loved every second of it. The only thing that was a bit of a shame was the Bucks Fizz was a bit vile and we both love Bucks Fizz but I guess when you are only paying a few quid for the actual makeover you cannot expect the best champagne there is to offer or fresh orange juice. We  loved the pictures that they did for us and I am sure we will not only go again in the future  but we will also use this as a gift idea.

I am pleased to report that New ID Manchester is as good as everybody says that it is. I was a bit terrified going in to be honest but that glass of Bucks Fizz during my consultation really did the trick and the staff soon got me to calm down. They are clearly very used to dealing with customer like me who think having a makeover is great idea and then get all nervous when it actually comes to doing it.

The makeup for me was the best part of the day. I love makeup, but have been using the same old tried and tested look using the same old tried and tested products for years. It was great to get a whole new look from a professional who gave me some really good advice on how to get my eyes looking a lot bigger. It was quite amazing what she did. I didn’t buy any of the cosmetics on the day but I probably will later on because I had my makeover in the morning and my makeup still looked amazing last thing at night. Nothing I have every brought has lasted that long before!

I liked how they did my hair and the photo shoot was a lot of fun once I had got over my attack of nerves that required another glass of Bucks Fizz to be calmed. The lady that took the pictures was really sweet and gave me lots of time to get used to being in front of the lights and the camera and at one point the wind machine that was totally hilarious.

I loved the pictures, they are not what you would call cheap but the makeover deals are very cheap and totally worth the money.  

My husband and I were given a voucher to have a Deluxe makeover for two at New ID as a gift from my parents. I had never done anything like it before and they have never brought me anything like that before either but I thought it was a very imaginative gift and since I we have been and really enjoyed the experience we have done the same for lots of members of my family, in fact, there is hardly anybody in our family that does not have fantastic pictures of themselves on the wall these days. The Deluxe for two is ninety pounds and it includes two complimentary prints but if you want more than that you have to buy them. The thing that I did like was that they come in lots of different sizes that are all different price so you could get quite a few even if you were on a budget. The experience itself was really good.  We both really enjoyed it, John was a bit unsure about the whole thing as he is not exactly confident in front of a camera and on the whole is the one that tries to stay out of pictures, especially as these days they end up all over facebook. He is not the most photogenic guy I the world, well he wasn’t until he got to New ID. He could not believe, and actually neither could I, how incredible he looked in the pictures, it is quite astounding what a great hair cut and some foundation can do for a guy, oh and having your rather bushy eye brows put into some sort of a decent shape. We found the photo shoot not only good fun but pretty romantic as well and we will certainly be going back again sometime and continuing to use New ID vouchers as very special gifts for people.  

I am now the proud owner of one of New ID’s Premier Collection of frames that hanging on the wall over my bed proudly showing off 13 images that I had taken during my New ID Deluxe makeover shoot just over seven weeks ago. There is one big picture in the middle that is 20 x 16 and that is surrounded by 12 images that are 5 x 7. The New ID website describes the fames as spectacular with the ultimate wow factor and it certainly has that. I chose to go for prints but if you want you can get the middle shot to be an LCD screen hat shows all off the different shots from a memory card reader. I got mine with silver leafing and I am so proud of it and it is a constant reminder of such a great experience and it reminds me how good I can look if I just make the effort. The New ID makeover was so much fun. I got on really well with all of the staff who all went out of their way to make me feel welcome and made me look so beautiful I was in tears by the end of it. I loved my photographer who made me feel totally amazing, there is nothing quite like having a private photoshoot. When I saw the shots in the viewing session there were tears streaming down my face, I had no idea that I was going to get that emotional. New ID is a truly incredible experience that I highly recommend to everybody. It really does give you a whole new lease of life!

I thought that New ID were totally fantastic. I have never had such a warm welcome from any sort of beauty place or hair salon. I felt comfortable and welcome from the second I got through the door. I only took along two outfits as I actually don’t have four that I wanted to have my picture taken in, so I thought that the photos would all look pretty similar but with the creative use of backgrounds and props and lighting I had so many to choose from it was actually a bit of a nightmare trying to figure out which ones to buy, I had hoped with less outfits that would not be the case, but they were all so good. I did not have a lot of time to choose from the ones I had taken either because the salon was really busy on the day that I went but I am sure I got the right ones! My only comment is that they do use an awful lot of makeup but they have to do that for the pictures as they use very bright lights in the photo room. I was a bit concerned when they put it on that it would look too vampish in the photos but it looked perfect, so if you go along don’t worry when they start plastering it on, it looks great at the end of the day. The photo shoot was amazingly good fun, so again don’t worry about that, I was really worried about it even though I wanted to have some great pictures of me, but its fine, they make you feel very relaxed and very comfortable. The third thing is take the time to go online and check the price of the pictures firsts, they are a bit more than I was expecting but I can tell you that this experience is fantastic and well worth what you pay for the photos.

There are good and bad things about having a makeover with New ID but it is mostly good. The first thing that could be better is that once you have the voucher you order from the internet you have to phone up and book and if you want to go on a weekend you literally have to book weeks in advance. They suggested that you go during the week as it gets so busy at the weekend, I did not want to wait six weeks to go on the weekend so in the end I took a day off work and went during the week. It was not that buys and I didn’t have any waiting around time that I have read about this company so in the end I guess it worked out better for me than I expected. The makeover is a dream come true. There is nothing bad to say about it, not in my experience at least, it all went really well for me and I was thoroughly satisfied with both my hair and my makeup. The photos session went well, I would have loved to have taken by Bucks Fizz in with me but that is just for the make over bit! The photos came out really well, it was hard to choose from them but the man that showed them to me was good at helping me pick the best ones but the room was very small and I think it would be a lot better if it was a more comfortable environment, plus you don’t get that long to go through them so that could be better. I don’t think the photos are out priced as I have also read but I do think it would be better, when you are paying that kind of money that they do not take two months to get to you even though I can hand on my heart say that they are really worth waiting for. I think New ID is mainly good but a couple of changes and it could be prefect!
