Quintessential dive bar! It’s the sort of place where it’s OK to sit outside with a small boombox and blast Robert Johnson at full volume while waiting for the rest of your cool NY friends to get there [which is precisely what I did].
Half King is small, really dark, it’s under a bridge, and the only thing that they serve that’s worth eating is the chicken fingers. Absolutely perfect place to lay low, drink decent vodka tonics and scheme.
