Dev's Kerala

I have been to Dev’s on a number of occasions and we are still going back. The food is an authentic taste of Southern India and from my various trips to Kerala
it’s refreshing to find an Indian restaurant that replicates the food perfectly. The masala dosa is fantastic and so is the pakora. All in all try something different rather than Brit influenced tikka masala and the likes and I am sure you won’t be disappointed

It used to be good till their main Chef left. Terrible service and bad food. We ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, and were served with boiled chicken peices in a sweet sause (probably from a bulk ready made curry paste). Similarly Dal Makhani was not what one would expect. Instead of Black lenteels with kidney beens, they used yellow lentils ! This was sweet too. We were told that their main chef has left. Prices of food was higher then shown on website. Avoid at all costs.

I came across Dev's while looking for a take-away on Boxing Day, not an easy thing to come by. I nearly drove straight past but the word "Kerala" grabbed my attention as my wife and I are massive fans of South Indian cuisine. We weren't disappointed at all. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming and the menu had all of our favourites - idli, dahi vada, uthappam, dosa etc as well as a selection of other dishes more well known amongst English curry houses such as sag paneer, tandoori chicken and various biryanis. Knowing that dosas don't travel too well we opted for a selection of the other South Indian specialities and they were all absolutely delicious. I would have no hesitation getting a takeaway from Dev's again and in fact can't wait until our next visit, even though our most recent was only last night!
