I'm not so fond of Castlecourt. I've always preferred the high street but now that Vic Sq is here, Castlecourt seems worse. However there are still some good shops like Quiksilver so don't write it off just yet

Obviously with the introduction of the new Victoria Square shopping complex, Castle Court isn’t exactly the most modern, stylish or attractive place to shop in the city centre. However, unless your some sort of architect you wont care what it looks. I only care about the shops and they are actually pretty decent. There is plenty of choice. Maybe slightly more for females than males but it’s kind of like that everywhere. There are some phone shops, health shops, and a GAME store for video games and the like. There is also an area upstairs, a food court that serves decent food and coffee and is always vibrant and busy.

Used to be Belfast’s Premier shopping centre, but with the introduction of Victoria Square, it has been on the slide a bit with business and foot falls. This has been seen with lots of businesses doing well for a few months and then going bankrupt. Take the Gadget shop as an example. Or even the Captain Hooke’s kitchenware store. It has had some notable shops opening up in the past year such as the food court (BurgerKing, PizzaHut express, Subway, Spud U like, thorntons, etc.) and Ben and Jerry’s but even this has failed to rejuvenate the once behemoth of Belfast City Centre Shopping.

This is a great shopping centre with a wide range of shops. Fab for doing all your christmas shopping etc as wide range of shops in great loction all close together and you can also stop for a yummy bite to eat from the food court! Castle court have also recently put in new baby changing facilities which have bottle warmers comfy chairs for baby feeding and all private and away from the other shoppers fab if you needa few mins to feed your baby and want privacy to do so or even just a little break from the crowds.
A lovely starbucks if u fancy stopping for coffee and also a kids play area on the ground floor. The sales here are well worth a visit!

Excellent place to go shooping with a wide range of shops to cater to all needs. Conveniently located within the city centre. Number of cafes also make it a good meeting place when in Belfast.

this place is superb whether it be for casual shopping on the weekend or the hustle and bustle of christmas shopping. there must be near 100 shops in the place, with a lot of clothes shops in here. all the big brands are represented form burtons to topman and topshop. there is also a food court with all the big food retailers in there, which is a nice place to sit and there are a lot seats available. it is right bang slap in the middle of the city and offers probably the best shopping experience in the whole of ulster. it is also clsoe to transport links and it has a massive car park which is eitehr free or really resonably priced.

A good shopping centre with a variety of high shops within it for both men and women ie Debenhams, TK Maxx, Dorothy Perkins, Gap, Burton, New Look etc.
There is also a variety of fast food restaurants including KFC, Pizza Hut, Burger King, Subway and a chinese. The chinese fast food is my particular favourite.
There is a shopmobility office within Castle Court if anyone needs to hire a scooter or wheelchair.
Toilet facilities are also very good.
Overall i found Castle Court to have a wide variety of shops and less expensive than its rival Victoria Square.

A great, reliable shopping centre which I don’t believe has been overshadowed by the new Victoria Square centre.
It boasts popular stores such as debenhams, new look, superdrug and game etc, and has a fantastic food court on the first floor which can cater for everyone’s eating habits - Pizza Hut, KFC, Burger King, Chinese Food, Spud U Like, Coffee Hut, Bagels…. the list goes on!
Castlecourt also has a Santas Grotto at Christmas time which is very popular with kids of all ages - even big kids!
I believe Castlecourt has everything under one roof, and you are sure to find something you like.

Castle Court is in the heart of the city centre, but it seems to be past its prime and hasn’t really done anything to try and compete with the new Victoria Centre. Debenhams in the main store here and its a ways worth a visit. There are so many things under one roof here and the do great sales where you can pick up a bargain. On the first floor there a new Superdrug and Game which opened not that long ago and they look really well. Its a shames more good new stores haven’t followed their lead. If you fancy a break while you’re head hed to starbucks on the first floor, but expect a long wait to get served.

Used to be THE main shopping centre in Belfast, but with so many new shops opening, as well as Victoria Square down the road, it seems to be a bit in the shadows nowadays, which is a shame as it does offer some shops you dont get in the city centre.

Now very much in the shadow of Victoria Square, Castle Court manages to hold its own, with Debenhams being the key tenant.
There are a lot of pretty poor shops and the place is looking a bit worse for wear these days. However there are some good clothes shopping for male and female and it is not too big.
All in all visit it for an hour or so and you will be fine. Expect more and you might be disappointed.
