Lovely little courtyard hotel. Situated in a nice traditional area with lots of picturesque hutongs (old beijing alleyways) to explore this hotel just has about 10 rooms. These each make up one side of several courtyards and have traditional furniture along with all the modern comforts (including a very peculiar telephone! see the pic). The courtyards have bird cages and persimon trees. The staff were very friendly. A very peaceful place to stay and particularly good if you want somewhere more traditional than those large impersonal (and much more expensive) western hotels.
