The Final Cut Pro (FCP) / video editing course the Working Men’s College (WMC) is a steal at only £60:00. Most courses are over £400:00, so count your blessings with this little gem here. The course covers beginners / intermediate levels. With the help of the handouts, the practical lessons and your dedication in your spare time, you should be able to join the rest of the U Tube generation! The class is a little bit over full and desperately needs to add on an intermediate / advanced course for those that wish to progress further. Having said that it does well for covering the basics with tutor Karen Japody. The course covers setting up a project in FCP, importing footage / clips, basic / intermediate editing skills, exporting and backing up your footage, transitions, inserts, titles, story boarding, amongst a few other bits and pieces.
My only complaint about the WMC is that it would be good to schedule some of the courses in the morning. Apart from that, it’s all gravy!
