This place is the BEST in LA! Typical W deco: sleek, modern design with that damn black rectangular furniture, which I find a bit oppressive, but that is infinitely outweighed by the service.

I have to say it: THESE GUYS ARE AMAZING! They give you 24-hr room service, they will get your cigarettes, they will drive around LA looking for Bumble and Bumle hair product, they will send a car to pick your drunk ass up from wherever you found yourself at 4am [was is in the hills somewhere?]... The beds have this “dream something” cover so you will sleep like a baby after they brought you back from the aforementioned night out… and all the bath soaps etc are the lemongrass products by Bliss so you’re always refreshed after a shower.
Downstairs restaurant makes awesome breakfast.
Pool is surrounded by little striped tents with soft couches, and every once in a while you’re visited by a sweet bartender who seems genuinely concerned that you may need a drink.

Sometimes I wonder why you would EVER leave, or even THINK about staying anywhere else.

I have ONE complaint: the decorative antique typewriter in the lobby doesn’t actually work.
