If you like vodka then this is definately your place. I have never seen so many different kinds of vodka in one place. Everyone must be able to find a flavour to their liking.
If you’re not a vodka drinker then this bar is still well worth a visit as the bar is unlike any other I have visited in London.
Come here for decent and cheap lager or vodka, although I wouldn’t spend my whole night here. I work around the area so it is quite a good stop gap for going into the West End. It gets pretty rammed for whatever reason.
A very cool and different bar. A whole menu of different kinds of Vodka are on offer, so if you’re a vodka fan you’ll be happy! At around £2.60 for a shot it’s pretty well priced too.
A great find if you like vodka. round the back of Holborn Tube Station, tucked nicely away from the bustle, this place creates a busy, buzzing atmosphere, esp in the early evening.
It does get very busy and at times you are likely to wear the vodka, rather than drink it… some people don’t know their shot limits!! Or have enough manners to apologise!
Getting to the bar can be a struggle. They have a range of beers, both bottled and tap. Didn’t try the food.
Prices are fair for the West End.
Toilets were swimming….
Its worth a quick visit, best to visit early in the evening for all the right reasons.
This place provides an interesting alternative in the london bar scene. If you google Polish bars in London (which I did recently) you might be surprised to find how few there are, considering the Polish population.
Na Zdrovia bar is tucked away down a short snickelway not far from the Holborn tube entrance.
It’s quite a classy and minimalist space with high stools and tables and lots of standing room that naturally flow’s onto the street.
Unfortunately the food had finished by the time we arrived, I think it stop’s at about 9 or 10 on a friday (don’t trust me on that). The menu though looked really authentic and I’ll be coming back to taste it.
The drinking is really all about vodka. They have many different kinds, different ways of serving it and different things to put in it.
I thought that the prices were quite reasonable - cheap in fact for a dedicated vodka bar.
The ambiance was a little lacking on the evening we visited and I feel that maybe we came a little late. Probably around 7 until 10 would be the prime time for this venue.
Anyway makes a good little stop on the way into town on a Friday night.
(Oh! I think that the place may have actually changed it’s name too - to THE POLISH BAR I remember asking about this and they said that they thought English people had trouble with the word Na Zdrovie - which is like “Cheers!” to the uninitiated.)
