My teeth look and feel fantastic after having a new crown and root canal work.I now feel more confident when I smile  and I can eat crisps again and cookies!!

Great dentist, extremely happy and helpful staff. My teeth were not very good looking when I first came here but after 6 months of treatment they look amazing to me.They make all treatments as comfortable as possible which made it so much easier for me.

I have been here a number of times as the practice is the local dentist fro my mother and father and when I come and stay if I am having any problems I tend to come here. the reason for this is simply they make you feel comfortable and welcome which is all I want from my dentist. The treatments are all to a high standard and everyone is helpful and easygoing.

Great service here, really helped me decide how I wanted my teeth to look and now they look transformed. I can eat hard things and not worry about breaking them. High class customer service here.

Typically just before i was set to go on holiday i had an accident at work, i lost grip of the drill i was holding and it subsequently hit my front tooth and chipped it in half. Very very painful. I went to ABC dentistry straight after it happened and they managed to fix the broken tooth, take the pain away and send me on my way within a few hours! I couldn't believe how efficient and welcoming they were. I really would highly recommend this dental practice to anyone!

All positives really, the only thing was i had to wait a little longer than expected for treatment, but i suppose there are a lot of people wanting treatment so you do have to wait. However i do have to say it was worth the wait and i shall return for any future treatments. Regards - Wendy 

I have had a really good experience at the academy practice and had no doubt I would after a very close friend recommended the practice to me. She told me the team were friendly and the treatments extensive and now I know the truth of her words. Worth a visit.

The dental team at ABC Dentistry in Birmingham have always been a kind and thoughtful bunch, happy to go the extra mile for me in any route I choose to fix my smile. Over the years I have had to visit them for a whole host of dental problems, which I might add are no fault of theirs but down to the fact that I continue to smoke despite their opinion that I should not. This has really devastated my oral health at times but their kind words and excellent dental service have helped me no end in all honesty. They have helped me with gum treatments in the past and cleaning treatments for the beginning signs of gum disease but always managed to stop this before it moves on to anything far worse. I have also had two or three fillings for teeth that are in need of that little extra care and they also offer porcelain crowns which are an excellent treatment because they look extremely natural in your smile. Prices are fair and can be discussed during a relaxed initial consultation. I have recommended them to both my friends and family and have no hesitation in recommending them to the readers of this review.

ABC Dentist, Waterloo Street, Birmingham; Claim to offer “high quality, affordable dentistry”, where their ethos of dentistry is supposedly “focussed around YOU”, sadly I have to strongly disagree with this statement on their website. When I went in for my consultation Jag saw me and told me what kind of treatment plan was available to me. Overall, the condition of my teeth are perfect but I needed a brace to straighten them. I was told what type of braces were available and ‘Damon’ braces were quoted as being “amazing at achieving quick results”, obviously this would draw anyone in, especially when Jag went onto tell me that he would be holding presentations in London with the man who created the Damon braces and should I have them fitted I could have an extra £1,000 off the total price (which was around £5,500 …nothing like the amount advertised on their website of the ‘from £1,895’, which makes you wonder how perfect your teeth need to be to get anything near that). As I felt very at ease with Jag and the staff I felt that this was something I wanted to go ahead with and value for money in the fact I felt relaxed, well taken care of and working with a team of excellence. From the moment I began treatment in having moulds made, xrays and various other consultations to discuss my treatment things changed. Many of my pre book appointments were cancelled as Jag was not available and at times this would be on the day. I was then told by Jag that his assistant in Coventry would be overseeing some of my treatment as she was “one of the best" in his team to help with my treatment plan, again, this appointment in Coventry was cancelled 2-3 times due to her not taking any more patients on and Jag not being able to make it. Shortly after, this is where my relaxed environment, helpful and polite staff and all contact with Jag stopped. Dr Jag Shergill, the clinical director of the Academy of Birmingham Cosmetic Dentistry is supposed to be “one of the leading cosmetic dentists in Birmingham”, however I have not been able to get him to return any of my calls for the last 6 months regarding my treatment plan and have since had to fight tooth and nail for my money to be refunded. I have read on various websites negative reviews in a handful of positive ones and thought this is just one case that has gone wrong, however, I can now see so many similarities. I’m still trying to get a hold of my notes as I have now found a new dentist and even now that I am no longer a patient of theirs they are managing to cause me such unnecessary stress by holding onto notes, moulds and xrays when promising to send them over. I have lost count at how many times I have rang to speak with Martine, the ‘Managing director’ who will try and fit this in as many times as she can in one breathe, whilst disgracefully shouting down the phone at you, trying to tell you that no messages have come through to her and that she has been on-call till 9pm every night, rather than take a professional attitude, not argue with you and accept a possibility that the messages have not been passed on. I would never, NEVER, recommend this dentist for anything orthodontic, involving braces, or anything that would mean you are likely to see them for more than one appointment as they have been nothing but useless, rude, unreliable, slack in communication with the patient and evidently as a team.

The practice is well kitted out and located in a easy enough place to get to in Birmingham. If you want private dentistry in the area then I would say they are a good fit but I would rather have been able to stick to NHS if I had had much of a choice in the matter. Still good though don’t get me wrong. Worth looking into.

I have nothing but praise for Jag and the team. They fixed my smile that was down in the dumps and really have boosted my confidence and improved my way of life.

I have always been happy with the level of treatment I have received from Jag and the excellent customer services I receive from the rest of the team. They have built a dental practice that is welcoming to all in Birmingham and areas around there.

I found the level of treatment and service to be of a highly professional standard and I was always kept well informed of how treatment was progressing. For results that are noticeable and worthwhile I would recommend ABC Dentistry.

The Dentistry is the best thing I have done in my whole life! Thank you to abc and thank you for my move to birmingham that brought me to this wonderful place! My smile is the real deal and so is this place. my teeth whitening at home is keeping up the fine work the team did at the practice. yay

I am thrilled with my new smile and I have noticed my confidence increase since the procedure.

As soon as I walked into reception the staff put me at ease and I was talked through all of the options available. With such a short amount of time to give me a new smile I opted for veneers and I've not regretted it since, its definitely money well spent.
