The Exmoor White Horse Inn

Had a wonderful lunch here today. Good priced really well cooked food. Huge portions. Home cooked ham, Venison pie I'm sure cooked on the premises. A really friendly knowledgeable barman.

This is a very old and warm hotel located in Exmoor. The main attraction to this hotel is the exterior as it is really lovely, with ivy growing all over the 16th century building and you get the feeling that it is a very good hotel before you visit. I would recommend visiting their website (http://www.exmoor-hospitality-inns.co.uk/WhiteHorseSpecia...) because they have many special offers that you would not find on other websites or over the phone, such as B&B and a five course dinner for three nights at £195pp which is really amazing for the quality of the hotel. The food is really great but quite pricey if you do not have it included in your package. The restaurant is very clean and has been refurbished lately but has not lost the mystique of the building and so is not in stark contrast to the surroundings. The staff are very helpful and friendly.
