The Half Moon Hotel & restaurant has been in the same family for nearly 40 years. Four stars for the great vegetarian options (around £8 a main) and good beer.
It is a listed building with a history going back some 400 years and is very attractive.
3 bars, Restaurant, Function/Conference Room, Large Beer Garden, Car Parking and Hotel accommodation.
Alford has famous craft weekends twice a year (Bank Holidays)and a weekly craft market plus Christmas fairs. The moon is a good place to stay.
There are double rooms, singles, twin & family rooms (one room with disabled facilities).
Colour television, tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer, alarm clock, iron and ironing board , direct dial telephone, and a modem port in every room. Not stayed so cannot review the rooms.

Can I just say that this place registered a record with me. I clicked on the GoogleMap to see where it was, and had to zoom out a record 8 times before I even realised which part of England I was looking at.
