Another favorite! April is central, but enough out of the way that it’s rarely crowded. It’s really an oasis in this dusty metropolis!

The interior space is big and airy. There are tree trunks in the second floor dining space [vertical, of course, so it feels like you’re floating through a forest], most tables are made from slabs of wood, and there is real live grass at the entrance. The main dining room is divided by flowing strips of translucent fabric with organic prints, while the rest of the tables are scattered in secluded little corners. The atmosphere is surprisingly calm.

Food is good, but slightly more expensive than it’s worth. I recommend getting a hot small plate, or a salad, and ordering some tea or wine. Tea and coffee are great, and April has a sommelier to recommend the perfect wine [rarity in Moscow!].

Also, the waiters have always been FANTASTIC [this too is unfortunately hard to come by]! They have always been very nice and attentive, without becoming obnoxiously annoying or subservient.

In all, a great space to take a break from the loud fast city and relax! Come in some late afternoon or early evening, take your time, and enjoy your tea!
