This place serves what it’s name is - “pizza a metro”. Pizza is ordered and prepared by the metre! You wouldn’t think 2 young adults could eat half a metre of pizza, but they can, and we did! The wine list is not great (like most restaurants in Vico, unfortunately), so perhaps stick to the Nastro Azzurro…
Service is a bit of a shocker and is very old style - waiters wear waistcoats and bow ties, with black, faded trousers. The restaurant is massive, so once feels a bit like eating in a canteen. The pizza is good, but it’s not the Roman style pizza that westerners are after - it’s the original Napoli-style of spongy pizza base. Provolone is out of this world, however… Worth a visit, just to see how many “metros” you can consume!!! Recommended.
