2 reviews of Guildhall Library Shop in English
I went to Guildhall Library shop on a Saturday as i can not get here in the week and the library shop is shut on Sundays. The bookshop is excellent , they sell hundreds of books on London and of the city of London. They also sell large maps of london and the old city boundaries.Even though the shop is not huge i spent at least an hour looking at all the amazing books they have. When i went a few of the books were on sale which was an added bonus. They sell a lot of rare books that i have not seen for sale elsewhere, they also sell old ordinance survey maps by Alan Godfrey. This is a hidden gem and if you love London you need to come here.
This is a small, but fantastic, bookshop. They have an extensive collection of books on London: history, travel, stories, maps, etc. Being somewhat obsessed with London history, I thought I had a good idea of the available books…but I found lots of unique titles here. Well worth a stop.
