Rosies Nightclub

Terrible club, rude door staff no care for customers at all glass on the floor not cleared up and when i complained that the glass i had was cracked the bartender called me a d**khead, some random guy shouting on the microphone that customers never question his decisions i presume he was the manager or something. I cant believe people still go there. Stonegates directors must be ashamed of this place!!!!!

If you like queuing, sticky floors, over priced drinks, heavy handed rude staff, toilets that stink of piss and a beating at the end of the night....then guess what?! This is the place for you. 

I was at Rosies for New Year's Eve and, I've got to say, the place dealt extremely well with the loud, excited crowds! A big shout out goes to staff & security who works super efficiently - at one point during the night, I lost my purse (cue panic and stress) and I was obviously growing resigned to finding it, as chances were that someone had already taken advantage and stolen it. Turns out that security had acted on it so quickly, that when I went down to the cloak room to ask half-heartedly whether staff knew about a lost purse, a member of security had already handed it in before anyone could get their hands on it!! It totally lifted a huge weight off my shoulders, avoided a huge panic on my part and lots of stress for the future! Only thing which proved a slight negative were the overpriced drinks

Sticky floors, over priced drinks and the worse place for staff (after Politic on the rows). I've been witness to many scenes of excess force from their door staff. Beware of the large shaven headed Polish guy, he seems to go looking for trouble always picking on some smaller guy. There's not much to write about this place, it's old worn out, smelly and disgusting. I'd recormmend Cruise if you had to chose, or a taxi home would be far more enjoyable.

I have been around the club for the past 4 years its like all the above people have the wrong venue or something. I have never seen any member of security assault anyone or use any kind of unreasonable force in any given situation. They are there for your safety and from what I see do a very good job at making sure you all have a good night. For anyone that doesn't gain entry try dressing smart, not looking like a chav, wear some proper shoes and bring your ID so many people expect to gain entry with no ID and looking like they are off to the gym, come on! As for the manger I only every see customers happy around him! The only disappointed customers I ever see are the ones that bring no ID and are dressed for a gym session!

If you have been knocked back from the venue then its purely because staff treat Rosies like home and they don't want you in it! Make an effort, look good, bring your ID, behave yourself and you shouldn't have a problem!

I live next door to Rosie’s. We have no double glazing, however this doesn’t deter the staff from gratuitously opening and closing the fire exits (might aswell be in our bedroom), disposing of glass at 3/4am, taking no responsibility for the cleaning of Leen Lane (which is often covered in vomit/urine from RB’s customers). Infact, last week they had a foam party – the foam was ten inches high and pushed into my very narrow street – it seeped into our porchway and ruined my shoes when I was returning home from work at 6am. Tried to speak to the general manager – no response.

For what it’s worth, it’s a stinking hovel, they treat their environment appallingly and as their fire exit close to my window, I can verify that the bouncers are contemptable creatures who use appalling language and various other disgusting behaviours.

this allegation is false and nothing but lies.

this ‘review’ was sent as an email to the editor of the chronicle which he himself viewed the CCTV and found all the information false and not true.
the editor could not find any fault to how the staff at Rosies conduct themselves whilst working at Rosies night club. He has said that all staff behaved with an acceptable manner and professionalism through out the night.
NO CUSTOMER AT ANY POINT WAS LIFTED ABOVE THE CROWD ON THE CCTV AT ANY POINT.
The General Manager also went on to add that the gentleman in question once ejected from Rosies (because of bad behavior). Then ran back to the front door where he tried to assault one of the Security team. To which the gentleman’s friend tried to stop him by grabbing him around the throat which led to them falling to the floor and then being arrested by the police.
This was also caught on cctv. If your these accusations where true in nature why have the police not been involved.

I can honestly say I’ve never had any issues in this venue. The door staff are strict and don’t take any nonsense but if they let idiots in then we’d all have crap nights.

There are cameras everywhere and the door staff appear to have a good relationship with the Police so I think some of the alleged behaviour may be greatly exagerated!

Seeing a lot of people have the same issues. there is a facebook group about this type of behaviour

I have just returned from Chester after taking My Employees for a Christmas Party night out. This is my second time in Chester.
Unfortunately we were unable to enter the Night Club ‘Cruise’ therefore found ourselves in a Night Club called ‘Rosies’.

Upon entering we realised this would not have been our usual choice of Club but decided to stay.
After a few hours, My Husband was being ‘pestered’ by a drunk woman which he politely told to leave him alone, at that point she began to scream abuse at him making a huge scene to which approximately 6-7 doormen came to the scene, lifted him by his arms and legs carrying him above the crowds of people.

He was taken through a door, outside the main area of the club, placed on the floor and with no witness other than the doormen,
He was kicked, punched, verbally abused whilst lying in a foetal position.
A Chinese looking Man who my husband assumes is part of the club, then came to him punching him in the face and stomach again verbally abusing him.

At this point, we were unable to get into the door where my husband was and we were led out through the main doors.
On the way down the stairs, The Chinese looking man told one of my female employees to step away from my husbands Friend, The Man asked him if he was ‘a big man and does he want to start some trouble’ (using bad language) to which he replied ‘No Im just walking out’ as he was then pushed from behind, grabbed by his throat, to the floor, which he then felt a kick.
I am in total disgrace in how the Doormen physically and verbally abused my husband and his friend. They are human beings, not pieces of meat.
These men are animals holding licenses to permit them to beat people up behind closed doors, they are not abiding to the the standards and Training of SIA giving other licenced doormen a bad name.

We are respectable people who were looking for a nice evening, we are not thugs, not bullies

My husband is now suffering with pain in his lower back, both of his shoulder & neck. We have not seeked Medical advice as of yet.
My Husband’s friend has attended Macclesfield A&E today, with back spasms, this injury is whiplash. He has been given diazepam for 3 days and has been told to stay off work. He will return to his job after Christmas.
I hope this review helps other innocent people, next time it could be worse injuries for someone.

Great place for students, cheap drinks and good range of music throughout the week. Bit prices on weekends though.

This place is a joke!!
Arrogant manager, some of the door staff are really good but others are awful!
If you speak to the manager the way he speaks to you expect to be thrown out and barred, calling customers pricks and threatening to (and I quote) ‘smash’ them is this really what you expect from the manager of a club?? Im sure if I made a threat to the manager (in any place) like that I would be kicked out and barred but in front of 3 of his door staff this is exactly what was said. If you want to spend alot of money then be verbally abused by all means go here and chat to the joke of a manager if this doesnt sound like your cup of tea then AVOID at all costs!!

I recently went out for a friends birthday here after not going for a while, it was as good as it used to be when I was in uni, still like the r&b floor at the top the best!

the club is great door man good especially the russian i like him coz he doesnt like blaxk ppl so its all good and he sells me coke :-0 gr8 nite yday

I do like Rb's, it can always turn out to be a really good night if you're wit hthe right crowd, on the right night and in a good part of the club, my favourite floor was originally the bottom floor, but now it is the middle floor cos it has more modern music, (you don't have to listen to Aqua up there..)
Rock night on a Tuesday is truly awful and the people are kinda rude, the bar staff more so than anyone else, including this one guy with long brown hair, he is just horrible, pretty nasty and judgemental considering we were paying customers.
Thursday is the best night to go because you can go to all 3 floors and drinks are cheaper, (except for mixers, my friend payed £14.00 for 3 drinks and I payed £1.80 for a bottle of VK)
I've never had a problem with the bouncers but I hear they can get strict if you are too drunk or a little out of line, but that is to be expected.
Overall i'd give it 3/5, i'd give it higher but that rude guy behind the bar really p*ssed me off.

If you want sweat, heat, dirt, sticky floors, broke glass and big queues, Rosie’s is the one for you. If you are a lad, expect to get started on. In addition, if you are a girl expect to have lads leering over you for the entire night.

The music is not the best either: the floors are supposed to be '80s', Dance, and RnB, but sometimes you can’t tell the difference. The way the music could be put on either floor, is a disgrace to the music industry.

If you decide after all this to go onto the top floor or even worse the middle, expect it to be extremely busy (especially on a Thursday), you have no space to yourself and give yourself a good 15mins to get from one side of a floor to the other.

Don’t even bother if you are going as a couple, as you will be split up and have scrawny, white guys trying to come onto your girl.

Although this place is magical, their clock seems to be at least half an hour quick. Expect to pay an 11:30 fee at 11 o'clock.

They say this club is good for students, but I’m a student and its S**t. We are students and we have standards, like the vast majority of students in the UK. This does not compare at all with the likes of Manchester, Liverpool or London.

Cineworld is probably the better option or a cosy night in ;)

Alright club, if your a student (Although if there was anywhere else to go, this place would go bust in weeks!)
A warning, this place is ruined by meathead bouncers, rude and arrogant, if your stood anywhere near any trouble expect to get barred!

Personally i love the club i go there all the time with my friends yeah its a bit hot but works all that alcohol out of your system while your having a good time. RB's Babylon has recently up graded the 80's floor to a 90's floor which is really good fun the other 2 floors are also good fun middle floor has really good music if your into clubland styled music if not there is an R'n'B floor which is also great fun. They have also recently refurbished the top floor so there is now a V.I.P area and a smoking terrace on the top floor, if your in the club and you want to cool off there is a cocktail lounge on the middle floor its very cool and its also a nice place to catch up with friends while travelling between floors. Personally i recommend this club as it is a good laugh while your out not to mention the amazing staff to ensure that you are safe secure and everything is to your perfection, and if you dislike something i know from personal experience have a work with a manager see what they can do to satisfy your needs. If you good have fun!

The worst place I have ever been to!
I will Never go anywhere near it again.
Since telling others of my experience I have heard many who have also had similar nights there and will also never go again.
Trust me, not worth your time, money or effort.

I love this place, sure its dank n dirty but thats what a club is meant to be like, tis a little warm lol, they do need better air-con. Having three floor to choose from is good, you get to meet loads of people travelling between floors. This is a studenty place,aimed at 18-25 year olds, they’ve recently upgraded the 80’s room to 90’s to keep in line with their target audience and run a host of different nights with cheap drinks available.
