Right people I say we all get together and go to old Lacemaker court and get them for our money, who is up for this??

My day at this place was really good, I went on a Tuesday. I can see how it can get busy at the weekends.

I went on a deluxe makeover experience, i had my haircut upstairs in burlingtons and then went downstairs for the rest of the services. Being a chap, I wasn’t sure if the facail or manicure were any good, but still, they were nice.

I’m a budding actor and I really enjoyed the photoshoot, although i was a bit nervous. I didn’t use all my 4 changes of clothes, but that was fine as we’d taken lots of shots anyway.

now for the painful bit….. the girl who showed me the pictures let me select my free a4 print and did offer me several packages. i ended up taking 10 images of disk for £800 with full copyright.

on reflection, they are expensive but when the cd images arrived full re-touched, i was very happy. I have since used them in my portfolio and would recommend this to anyone who wants to get professional images.

If i could rate this zero i would! At the end of June I went for my makeover shoot at the London New ID and I was absolutely DISGUSTED by my service. I arrived early and was left waiting for 45 minutes. Not once was a drink offered to me, the stylist cut my hair - if you could call it that - and hacked off chunks on one side but left the other side? Just as has been mentioned I had uneven hair all over - they made no attempt to talk to me, I paid for the delux photoshoot or top one, promising a head massage hand massage facial etc - I received none of this. My hair looked as if I had been dragged through the bushes, my make up as has been said there was no input from the artist - I had to chose everything!

As for the manicure! I thought that was a joke - they didn’t even cut my nails or file them! Just one coat of some vile nailpolish, not a very nice choice available. I felt as though even the make up artists were hard selling me their products - when my artist was talking to her friend about how she needs to go boots to get some make up - erm well if your products are that good why not buy these?

ALL PAPERWORK I RECEIVED STATED I COULD NOT BRING A GUEST WITH ME - SO NO ONE COULD TALK ME OUT OF THE PICS AND THEY COULD PREASURE ME INTO IT. When i questioned New ID with this, they denied it, even though i provided them with copies of all info i received!! Con artists!!

I brought with me 4 outfit changes, left my favourites till the end - photographer stopped after my second outfit said that was it done so I never even got to wear my favourites! Not once was I offered a drink, I had to ask to go to the toilet and find it myself!

I felt as though I was just being pushed from place to place, until I came to the sales pitch! £1300 for 20 images on disk! I THINK NOT! I felt like they were pushing me into trying for finance but I said no.

I found the sales to be very pushy, in the end I felt I had to agree to buy 10 prints just to leave the room - was in there for over 40 minutes! Should have received 20% discount as it was through Buyagift but I didn’t get it - when I rang the accounts they denied they would let me have that much off my order! Tried to cancel them as soon as I got home but received no response. Emailed twice, wrote to head office twice, and the salon twice - received no reply. Then I rang up and still nothing. Every time i was on the phone the 'supervisor’ was busy or on the phone, in the end i told them i would wait - suddenly she was free? Not much of a supervisor, she was rude and cocky. No help what so ever. Finally got the 20% discount i should have got off the order anyway, but still no pics. I finally got an email regarding my complaint asking me to send them my contact details so they can get in touch - i replied informing them that i had left my contact details on at least 5 different occassions so unless their staff really are as useless as i think, they will have my number. No response. Informed them that i had contacted watchdog, trading standards and a number of newspaprs and already received responses from all. Suddenly I got a voicemail from new id offering me a free CD of my images worth over £1300 - totally free? Yet i havent received my photos yet - even though they are supposedly fasttracked dispatched!

Don’t touch this place, cancelled my mother & baby photo experience due to health & safety reasons of having a baby on the premises - then why did you sell the package! Have had real problems trying to get in touch with customer service and the so called Natalie who never takes your calls wonder if she really exists? Tried to fob me off with a new booking but I’m just trying to get my money back and I’m scared I won’t after reading the reviews…..written a letter of complaint as only way they said they would pay back money owed - avoid avoid avoid!

I went to New ID London and instead of having a nice pampering day, I ended up going home amazingly angry. The woman who was cutting my hair said she was handing it over to someone else because her next appointment was here - I didn’t realize she’d finished cutting it, she didn’t ask me if I was happy or even show me the back of my head - but admittedly my hair did turn out ok (although they didn’t cut off as much as I would have liked). I then went and sat downstairs to wait for my nails - turns out the hand beauty treatment consists of having your nails filed (not even all the same length) and some nail polish applied, then sat and waited again for my make-up to be done (which was very nice, although 2 of the ladies who were there at the same time as me were not happy with theirs), I then waited some more for my photo shoot - the clothes I put into my backpack were very crumpled by this stage and you can’t iron them - the photographer was nice but I had no input into what I did it the photo shoot (apart from the backdrop). When I went to view the photos most of them looked really forced and unnatural. I then chose a few that I liked and got asked if I would like to know about pricing options, to which I said 'no, I just want the photo on disc’ (that came with the package I bought), then I was told that the image on disk is selected at random and 'nowhere does it say that you get to choose it’. She was quite rude about it. I did end up buying some pics because I’d spent over 6 hours in th studio (about 3 hours of which was waiting) and wanted something other than a random pic that was probably hideous. If you decide to do this experience, make sure you have a book (they mainly had promotional material to read), a drink (unless you really like bucks fizz - you have to ask for anything else), and some food.

i went to new id london with my girl friends for my 21st birthday and i had a amazing day we was all treated fantastic , we was so please with the photos we all looked liked stars i would recomend it to any one.

i was bought the deluxe photo box package from debenhams for my birthday i was not sure what to expect but when i arrived i was made to feel so welcome and they took such good care of me and my friends. We thought the photos was amazing quality. We cant wait to
