Fantastic modern architecture!
A giant bean bubble mirrors everything around it. Spitting fountains, beautiful gardens, concert parks, museums, restaurants and art sculptures can be found within a mile of the park. Beautiful architecture of high rise buildings as well. The tourist information center (find the bronze bull) provides lots of information of the city and if you are lucky, there are lots of freebies too.

Millennium Park is a must see when in Chicago. The design and layout is really fascinating from a physical-spatial point of view, particularly the intricate walkways. My favourite are the two walls of lights which depict countless human faces smiling at one another. And of course there’s the giant mirror bean – a brilliant photo op for you and your family.
I echo the other reviewers who say this park is an absolute must-visit when you’re in Chicago. There are some lovely pieces of art to see, including the reflective 'bean’ (in fact called Cloud Gate and produced by the artists Anish Kapoor) which is fascinating and dizzying to look at for too long! There is also a fun piece of art called The Crown Fountain which features large changing images of local people behind a wall of falling water, as well as an occasional jet of water that comes from their mouths… you have to see it to understand! Mesmerising to look at and a popular attraction in the hot weather for those who need to cool down a bit. Also in the park is an amazingly beautiful pavilion where events are often held and loads of lovely green grass and trees to enjoy.
A fantastic place to stroll about, hear a free concert, admire some art, or just to relax with a book. Make sure you find the Bean (a sculpture that makes a wonderful photographic centrepiece), and call in at one of the information kiosks for a list of free (and paying) events.
This is the main thing you should to during a visit to chicago. The bean alone is worth a visit, but there are some nice resteraunts, loads of cool sculptures and a fantastic fountain. Best of all, it’s free!
It is a fantastic park, clean and full of inventive ways to relax and unwind. The big bean is the highlight and will leave kids an adults enthralled, whilst the small stream/brook that runs out towards the Art Museum is fun and gives you the chance to dip your toes in the water.
America does this types of parks really well. Inner City, but still spacious. Enjoy
You walk in this downtown park and first glimpse the shining object that is the centrepiece, and think, 'what the hell is that’?!
That is 'Cloudgate’, an amazing mercury-like sculpture by Anish Kapoor which will have you staring with childlike fascination (if you’re anything like me) for hours.
The park is also home to a fine outdoor stage, which only this summer hosted a free gig from none other than the world’s greatest living recording artist, Mr Andrew Bird. If I could give 6 stars for that, I would. Don’t miss it.
This has become one of the city's most popular destinations since it opened in 2004. It's spacious, clean and full of interesting art and architecture. If you're planning a trip to the windy city it is one of the "must see" attractions. The park also hosts events so you might just catch a concert while you're there. It's worth checking out the park's site http://www.millenniumpark.org/
This park is real nice. Its one of the biggest attractions in Chicago. I usually go here in the summer time, its real nice then. Its a fun place to go with family or friends.
Most folks run straight towards sculpture affectionaly known as “The Bean”. It’s actual name is “Gloudgate” and is great place to pose your friends or family in front of for a picture.
