6 reviews of Camping Zeeburg in English
This was our first stop on our camping tour around Europe and it gave us a good idea of what to expect.
The site was fairly busy but the toilets were cleaned thoroughly every day. The only downside to it being busy was that car parking was at a premium.
We wandered down to the tram stop on the first night but then decided to hire bikes after seeing how accessible the city was - I'd definitely recommend it and a friendly lady not only pointed us, but took us in the right direction when we appeared a little lost getting to the centre.
You are a little exposed to the bad weather if you're unlucky with it like us but we'd definitely use this as a base for exploring Amsterdam again.
Great campsite if you dont mind the trek out of town. The distance from the centre was a bit of a drag when returning from a heavy night in the centre though! However the campsite situated about a 5-10 min walk from the tram line so relatively easy to get in an out of town. Overall reasonably priced with good facilities. Cant complain!

I camped at this place last year and cannot say anything negative about it. The personnel friendly, check-in and check-out went smooth, the sanitary facilities were OK and the location directly at the water, of course extremely calm. Next time I would chose a more central location, because one needs to walk a few minutes and then one has to go by train.
Awesome campsite.
The second time we went to Amsterdam I was very pregnant, we were planning to go in a tent but had to change the small cabins at the site. The cabins have 2 beds, a table, light and heater… basic but very comfy and for the price you really can’t complain.
The shower blocks were always clean, but you had to get their early to get a really hot shower - seemed to get colder as the morning got on. The staff were all really friendly. There is a shop and bar on site, their breakfast deal was good however we ate one night and to be honest the food was pretty bad..
Saying that it didn’t change my mind on the place, it’s just a few minutes on a very efficient tram to the center of Amsterdam and great value for money.
A great campsite situated at the end of tram 15’s route, Flevopark. The walk from the tram stop to the site can be a bit tiresome especially if your laden down with tent, bags etc. But it’s worth it, the site is big and clean, a well stocked shop and hot showers, and a nice mini farm with goats, chickens and a huge turkey in the middle.
The showers were a bit cold. Thought I’d say that first. It’s the only complaint I have about this fantastic venue.
I mean the Dutch are just so cool. If only every capital city had a safe, secure, well serviced and picutresque camp ground 5 km’s from it’s centre. It’s like being able to camp in Shoreditch!
The staff here were really helpful, the restaurant was large and reasonably priced - they offer everything you could want in terms of tours and bike rental’s etc.
We were there in October so it wasn’t crowded. I guess that could be the only concern. There was a fair bit of land to put your tent on though and it looked like motorhome people were also looked after.
Getting into town in really simple. There is a tram that takes about 15 mins and drops you right in the centre. The only thing is that you have to walk over a really long bride in either direction. I liked it but if you don’t like walking then I guess that might become a drag.
We paid 6 euro’s each to stay here though - so to stay in the centre of one of the great cities for the price of a kebab, I can put up with a little strole at the end of the evening.
