Ffwrrwm Ishta is a bar come restaurant a little off the beaten track, so it’s not on a lot of people’s radars. Situated in the very pretty little village of Machen (not far outside Caerphilly), Ffwrrwm is a contemporary eatery in a traditional setting. The menu is unusual and could be considered ‘posh’ but the service and friendly atmosphere easilly dispell any myths of snobbery. The food is often seasonal and the quality is outstanding. It can be a little on the pricey side, but if you want to take mum out for a treat or fancy an afternoon with friends in a gorgeous setting eating great food and drinking fine wines and traditional ales, then i would suggest popping in to Ffwrrwm Ishta. Someone will have to drive, though!
