booked a gas and electricty check, the electrician did not turn up and i've been unable to get a refund. customer services are useless, they say they will investigate and call back but never do and nobody responds to emails.

Engineer turned up promptly but I received no certificate. Helpline was no use. However, I then went to the 'My Account' tab from their website. Then put in my email address and clicked the 'forgotten password' link - even though I had not 'forgotten' the password because I had never opened this account (it seems they open it for you when the commission the job). Anyway, they emailed me a password. I logged in with this password and Hey Presto - there was my Gas Certificate for download.
So perhaps it is just a very poorly designed process rather than a scam!

The service I received from London Property
Inspections is the worst I've ever known (to put that in context this is the
first review I've ever written). I paid up front, which ordinarily I do not
have a problem with but I am still without a certificate I paid for
5 months ago! I chased for over a month, the customer service I received
on the phone was abysmal, no one could help they could only arrange a call back
which never came (and I went around this loop several times). In the end I
followed their official complaints procedure which was to put my complaint in
writing, this was a couple of months ago and still I've heard nothing. I've
now given up and have written off the loss and would strongly advise against using this company.

Difficult to believe anyone has had positive contact with this campany. Their business model is to be call centre trained and helpful on initial call/booking, but they send terrible, terrible tradesmen. One suspects they know this and simply giggle as the cash flows in. Then you find out why they take full, 100% payment up front, and suspiciously why they were available in the first place. Be warned: they charge high, they send poor tradesmen, they do not answer calls after, they dissemble, lie and cheat thereafter. Language barrier with electrician meant unable to resolve with him personally, and they refused to acknowledge any kind of responsibility. Litany of errors over three weeks too long to list, but we are several thousands out of pocket. Be warned; simply avoid.

As a landlord this has been my worst experience with a service company. My advice is that if you do choose this service then pay after they've done the job. I paid in advance (as requested by them) but never received my certificates and after chasing for 2 weeks felt totally drained. They never respond to telephone messages or emails. Once they have a 'sale' and take your money they don't really care about providing a quality customer experience. Having said that I did get through to a couple of people who tried and although they weren't useful they were polite - that's my only plus , hence the one star rating.

Rochester1500, 4 October 2012:Unfortunately I must echo these sentiments. Shameful and shamefaced liars and thieves. There is no recourse for complaints to any governing body with electricians unless they endanger life, basically. Truly abysmal company. Breathtakingly incompetent.

Absolutely terrible. I booked a gas safety appointment and no one ever turned up. Several emails and telephone calls later I am still fighting to get my money back. About to go down the County Claims Court route all because they won’t refund me £60. Disgusting treatment of customers.

Check our the ReviewCentre, there are a large number of 1 stars there from may individuals which have been ripped off by this company.
Be aware this company is the worse. Paid for a EPC and Gas certificate. No-one turned up. Phoned numerous times each time sales person would say that the “head-office” will call back. No-one ever called back. Still fighting for a refund.

LPI professionals were extremely efficient and answered all our questions. They completed their work within a given time period and issued EPC certificate immediately. We are very happy with the kind of service they have delivered. I would definitely approach them again and also refer it to my friends as well as colleagues.

The plumber not only did his best good job, but he was also bang on time. I had an immersion heater element replaced at a tank in my house. The work done was clean and was done efficiently as professionally as possible – and thats exactly how it was done which I liked. Well done. I will be asking for the same guy if I need to get such work done again in future. Also happy with their prices.
