Jamesfield Farm Shop and Restaurant

Great food in a great surrounding, there is also a quaint little garden centre there now.

The restaurant is open on Fridays and Saturday evenings and the new chef is delivering some very tasty food, Ive been twice already in the evening and half a dozen times for lunch.

Some nice stuff in the organic shop but some of it is a bit pricey for me.

Heard about this place through their stall at the Perth famers market. We were the only people there one Sunday midmorning. The basic principles are there, but it just doesn’t quite work. The cafe has a wonderful view, but the food is mediocre and the decor somehow doesn’t quite hit. The kids play area indoors was a great idea but most of the toys are broken. Ditto the kids area outside and the slide was positively dangerous. The shop was quite good but a place like this should be buzzing like Gloagburn and it isn’t. It isn’t the location, because people will travel for good things, it just isn’t anything like an organic Gloagburn. Sadly i just can’t work up enthusiasm for it.
