Our comments aren't that great about our stay at the Royal York (stayed 7-9th July 2011). The room we specifically booked had no lighting so we were moved to another room which wasn't any better. To be woken up by an early morning call at 07:30 on both mornings that we didn't ask for was very annoying and disturbing and then to all no 24 hour room service!!!, considering we spent £340 for 2 night including breakfast the breakfast was very shabby. Would never stay there again.

We wouldn't stay there again! we paid £340 for 2 nights in a pre booked room that we liked the look of but when we got there there was no lighting in the room so we were moved to a room I wasn't overly impressed with! The breakfast was shabby. we were woken up on both mornings with an 07:30 call which we didn't ask for, and to top it off there was no 24 hour room service! The shower gel wasn't replaced so we had a very very small amount to use for the both of us!
We weren't told about the parking or lack of parking!! sorry guys but we are being honest!

this is such a good hotel. Right in the center . Its not got any nice views but the rooms have been done up so nicely. the bed was so comfy and had nice bedding. didn’t eat here so don’t know about the food but for the prices on internet booking sites were so much cheaper than anything else in Brighton. would recommend it for couples going away for the weekend or if you need somewhere to stay if your going for a night out.
