  I have heard fropm a reputable source- that MB isn’t a Christian, but that he goes to churches and preys on people – because Christians are more forgiving and guilliable. He told me he was at Whitewell. I doubt it – he hasn’t transport, but the elders of that church have been advised that if he shows up to be aware.
  He is also good at dropping names- I have just heard from someone that has known him for years that MB has been saying that his Ex has written letters to him say she wants to help him out and go on this journey with him. Couldnt be futher from the truth.
  He is a deluded and sick individual.

  He lives in his little made up world. And that would be ok if he was 8 but not when your 42

  I am shocked at the stories here.
  One of the biggest shocks is that he had a girlfriend.
  As a gay man I dated him for a few months and am amazed he is bi.
  He told me he was a doctor at the Ulster Hospital and had all the gear to prove it, uniform etc.
  When I found out about the shop he told me it was a business sideline.
  He is a compulsive liar and fantasist.
  The stories involving elderly people are appalling. I honestly didn’t think he was this bad, I just thought he was sad, lonely and had a lot of issues to sort.

  Well that was what I was hinting about him visiting the Giant’s ring. I knew about his pathetic attempts to pass himself off as a doctor. The more I hear about MB from everyone I draw the conclusion that he must have a mental imbalance. He’s clearly a sociopath or some other related disorder.

  However, this does in no way excuse his disgusting behaviour to the OAPs he’s ripped off.

  As I have stated many times before. HE HAS TO BE STOPPED!

  the shop has been closed since xmas eve, rumour has it a supplier who owned most of the stuff on display there (unpaid for of course) returned and emptied the place. weather or not it’s closed for good is anybodys guess.

  Could somebody please tell me what Mark Boyd and the connection to the Giants Ring is all about, seems im having a blonde time not understanding what its all about..

  Why didnt his story appear on the Nolan show?

  Something else im wondering about, Is Mark Married? As he told us he had twin sons at the time they were 6yrs old, but he told my sister he had twin girls who where 18?

  He also said he had been a model and that he also had recovered from a brain haemmorage is any of that true?

  My god these stories are really scarey im so glad we never encountered anything like this, seems we had a lucky escape!

  1) The Giant’s ring A well known gay cruising spot set amongst a neolithic earthworks

  2) The show did not air because of several reasons such as more important issues, he sent threatening texts or perhaps they thought he had a mental disorder or something. It’s a pity as I would really like him taken apart

  3)He doesn’t have any children he is definitely not married and this is all another pack of lies to gain your sympathy

  4) To my knowledge he has never had a brain hemorrhage

  5) I don’t think he was a model unless he was modeling vegetables

  Mark did tell me he had twin boys who were 18 and when they were 6 or 7 they modelled for GAP he even showed my mum and I pictures of them.

  Mark told me the reason he opened the shop was because he suffered a brain hemorrage and as part of this recovery he took up,flower arranging and then realised thTmitnwas actually a calling from Gof which is why it is called ReMARKable flowers cus God gave him the strength for a remarkable recovery!!!!

  When I was booking my flowers for my wedding back in 2008, I went to wedding show in the odyssey and picked up their free magazine which had a huge article of mark, we had been great friends years ago and had lost touch I was so lucky to have come across him in the mag, my wedding flowers were beautiful and everything was great although he did forget my mother and mother in laws flowers to be given to them at the reception which was hugly embarrassing!! And like other brides he did cancel a lot of appointments

  having read all these stories about Mark I am clearly shocked at everything but NOT surprised. He is obviously ill which is also sad butnhemmustnhave some sort of mental disorder!!!!!!

  He also did my brother in laws wedding and when he came to the day he wasmmeant to be a guest but an hr before the meal told us his mum had had a heart attack, is this true!!!!!!’

  He cannot sue for libel as the stories are true?

  Cant those who have been scammed take this con artist to court?

  Its surreal this story was pushed aside on The Nolan Show in favour of a dwarf who pays for sex!

  You seriously couldn’t make up this stuff if you tried.

  I would not believe MB if he told me the sky was blue and rain came downwards. He’s a complete and utter liar. He doesn’t know the difference between the truth and a lie.

  He didn’t start up the shop due to him get a bump on his head. He started up the shop with someone else’s money to get a bit of money to pay that poor man back!!!1

  He’s such a fecking liar. I swear to god. I’d love to speak my mind to him one of these days.

  It wasn’t called reMarkable flowers because that twat had the idea it was my friend who came up with the name. He’d have a blood vessel burst in his head if he treid to have an original thought!

  It’s a well worn ploy by MB to evoke god to make sure his ventures are god-backed. Being from Norn Iron myself, once someone starts quote scripture or envokes god then that’s when I head to the hills. Self delusion on overdrive!!!

  He doesn’t have flower arranging skills of his own, he was taught those by Liz who he used to work with. She’d do most of the work and loathsome slimy mark would take all the credit.

  Yes I would agree he does have a mental disorder. I think it’s called he doesn’t give a feck about anyone as long as he gets what he wants… or being more serious for a moment he’s probably sociopathic. However, just because someone has a mental disorder e.g. schizophrenia it doesn’t make it any easier for the victim’s families after a fatal stabbing. Equally, after a bride has been let down, or someone has been tortured into an early grave, or someone has had their life savings nicely removed by the lovely Mark Boyd, then my sympathy is with the victim rather than the perpetrator.

  I know some might think this a bit harsh but he needs to be isolated from the community as he IS a threat to that community. All the OAPs need to be made aware of him and what he’s capable of. Many will no doubt tut tut about this, until it’s one of their relatives then it will be all about why wasn’t something done about him.

  I know the police have been fully aware of his antics, but they are powerless unless someone makes a complaint;

  Too many people are too worried about what people might think, or have got themselves into situations where they cannot speak out.

  So, the upshot of this is the lovely Mark is still free to prowl about for his next hapless victim.

  I know hat I would have done it was my parents he’d targeted… he’d have no call to go cruising at the Giant’s Ring anymore pathetic and all that is…

  Tell you what, IF this had happened to me or a member of my family, Mr Mark wouldn’t have known what hit him. As id have held a vigil outside his flower shop telling anything with a set of ears what kind of person he is..

  He’d have had tables turned on him by knowing how it feels like to be stalked harassed and hounded!

  His flower shop doesn’t sell wreathes but believe me he’d have been picking out a nice arrangement for himself different flowers for his different personalities – as Id have bate the bake clean off him

  The only modelling he really would have been up for would be dental work and facial reconstruction!! as I’m a very vengeful person and have made sure he wouldn’t do to anybody else if he’d done any of this to me and mine!!

  LOL remind me never to cross you…. But you are absolutely right. He has no idea nor does he care the damage, the pain and the heartache he’s caused. I can only explain such disregard as being the result of a mental disorder, as no other person could do so much and not feel remorse.

  was told by a source who went along to the show the reason it was dropped was the reporter working on the piece was bombarded by mb with threatening texts saying if they exposed him he was at the end of his teather and they pulled it because they were scared he would kill himself. wilst telling the bbc this he was at the same time continuing to pray on vulnerable oaps. shame on the nolan show, you shuda given him directions to b&q with directions to the rope isle and called his bluff !!!! he aint got the balls. he’s a desperate little worm grasping at straws and nolan fell for it.

  He’s pulled this stunt a couple of times with my friend. Saying that the local newspaper headlines would say “Local florist takes his own life”.

  My friend is far too soft and MB knows this and so MB gains sympathy. I. on the other hand would say if you are going to talk about it, then stop talking about it and DO IT.

  So perhaps some people who have posted on here supporting MB would be all shocked and bothered.

  What Crap! If he did it, then thankfully that would spare a few more OAPs from the same fate. What I heard only recently about yet another vulnerable OAP, I’d go out and get the best quality rope for him.

  I have no sympathy for this cretin. None at all. He’s the lowest of the low.

  I hope Mark you are reading this. You know who I am. You know what you did. You are beneath the lowest creature that ever crept on the ground. You cloak yourself in religious clap trap and expect people to swallow it. Drop dead you scumbag.

  I was the last wedding mark did at the end of december. I have to say that even though I got the lies, excuses etc , he gave me money back for messing me around and our flowers where really lovely , just what we asked for. I am so stunned to hear how much people dislike him! I cant understand that even tho he nearly drove me to an early grave with his excuses and cancellations , it all came ok in the end!

  I guess then that you were very lucky! There’s no doubt that he has talent (probably gleaned from Liz whom he used to work with) however, what you have experienced is not usually the norm. Also, a professional business man is not someone who makes continuous excuses and cancels meeting at the last moment…

  I think there is no need to apologise, I guess it’s natural to defend someone, however, whenever the ground has been taken out from beneath your feet, it’s very unsettling. MB is a confidence trickster. I really think he has a psychological disorder. He has no compassion for his victims and informs them that the money is “God’s” money. I think that tells a lot about his personality.

  However, this is irrelevant if he has some mental disorder, as it’s more important that he’s stopped. That’s why getting the message out through the media and word of mouth is vital. It’s so important people know what he is like and not to lend him any money under any circumstances.

  There have been people who have literally lost everything and I mean everything because of him. And he has no remorse or feelings or regret.

  Anyway, let’s see what happens on Wednesday night…

  BTW it’s NOT a valid argument (which I have heard) to say well, he made lovely flower displays, who gives a flying f**k what he’s good at, it’s how he has and always has done. From a long time ago… I know what he has done and if it was me I couldn’t live with myself.

  Hey I have just seen this- OMG Kerri13 I totally feel for you- I was in a similar place. Mark led me to believe that he had romantic (boke!!!) feelings for me, and I foolishly believed him. At the same time he was lying and decieving me about his first ever bad financial situtation that he found himself in, which was no fault of his own. Not only did he leave me in such a terrible financial mess he also took me on an emotional rollercoaster. I was totally convinced he was telling the truth for months, he had me isolated from my friends/family because I was embarrassed to tell them what had happened and what a terrible state he left me in.
  Everyone has been affected in one way or another. Give yourself time to get through this. I agree he must be bought to task and exposed.

  I do believe that he was an honest businessman once- I booked him based on pictures that I had seen of two weddings of women I knew and thought their flowers were beautiful. Both of these women were married at least two years before me (one of whom, I know for certain would not put up with any messing around) and couldn’t praise Mark higher. The pattern that I have seen is that, since late 2010, he has been treating brides badly. The reason for this change in attitude and behaviour I don’t know but he has certainly changed

  I would agree to some extent. he was an exceptionally talented person up to about 2010. but there was an element of mystery about the financial side of the business and I believe that it was being funded by borrowings. Borrow where ever he could get the money and then more and more and more. Prices were unbelievable. He gave other florists a bad name as they were thought to be ripping customers off. Because they were charging the proper rates. Neighbouring shops couldnt cope if he was giving flowers away at cost price. he was a Robin Hood robbing the well off to help the less well off, or so he thought I believe. Nothing but no one could stop him. he wasn’t always like this but recently seems totally off the scale. and out of control. he wouldnt listen to advice from anybody. Its not the actions of a man who was running a successful business. It was a bottomless pit where money was concerned. No money to pay overheads, and essentials like rent, rates and electricty. Exposure painful as it is is the only way that will stop him before more people get hurt and loose their life savings.

  If you do one thing and I am sure you DO NOT lend this conman any money, you will definitely not see it again. He got thousands out of a friend of mine and I don’t think he’s paid back anything.

  There’s much worse to MB, and a lot that I wouldn’t discuss on open forum, let’s just say he’s got some very disgusting habits…. There’s nothing saintly about the lovely Mark Boyd. He should be hanging his head in shame.

  So if there’s anyone out there still defending him, for heaven’s sake wake up and smell the coffee!

  Anyway, in case you were not aware, the Nolan show is going to be broadcasting an expose of MB tomorrow night, so I would advise it to be compulsory viewing.

  welcome ex wife. lol. i worked on my ex brother in laws wedding and can verifie all the above to be true. the bride ordered staff to remove the table centres from the tables half way through the evening so that non of the guests could take them as gifts, they were allready dieing by that time. all flowers where left in the front hall the next morning and the staff had orders to bin them. even the brides own wedding flowers . i was there to pick stuff up the next morning and all the flowers were completely dead.
  also my ex wifes family and myself were lied to on the day of the wedding, my ex and myself were hardly speaking at the time and understandable both she and i did not want any hassle on her brothers big day. her family were told that i would be delivering the flowers to the church on the morning of the wedding before anyone arrived and that i would not be taking any further part in the wedding. this was not the fact i was told that he had told them i would be transfereing them to the reception as well . this is what happened. and even though i tried to keep a low profile i was spotted by a few family members ,which caused some upset. this was the last thing any of us wanted.
  also i can confirm that mr boyd was indeeed to be a guest at the wedding, and that as myself ,liz and helen were busy setting up the reception room i witnessed him find were he was to be seated and had a member of the hotels staff removed his place setting. upon later speaking with my ex wife she had to get me to confirm mr boyd even attended at the reception. appartently he sneaked in and sneaked out without anyone of the family knowing he’d even been there.
  p.s. mr boyd also had another wedding on the same day.

  As for being a friend- that i am certainly not! And can honestly say I wish I never met him.

  reason for death on death certificate will not state ‘because of mark boyd’ but we know fine well the stress and harrassment and pressure that MB put her through on christmas eve, the fact a woman states she was living in fear of him says it all, she previously had to repeat herself to him that she did not keep money at home and how she wasnt lending him money a 3rd time as he hadnt repaid the 2 other amounts…..all this was a very big contributing factor to her death and she should be here today with us! I watched the effects of making someone ill that the stress/pressure/harrassment had on my own father at the time that MB put him through. Im very thankful that my father is alive today but again im having to watch the anger and upset and undue stress that MB is still continuing to dish out to us all and those still tangled up in his web of lies deceit threats! Myself and family take small comfort that there are others in simliar boat as we are were it concerns MB but least we arent sitting back in silence now and are speaking out and sharing our private business in order that it will help some justice in the correct departments take MB to the side and deal with him accordingly! For everyone that does sit in silence they are just playing into the bullying hands of MB as are eaxactly were he wants them…out of the public eye. But each to their own and some folk wont write a review but are happy to share their story with likes of me and a few others on this group so we have to accept that. How many more shall come forward this week….watch and see because we all certainly arent going away!!

  Can I just say, that I am truly very sorry for your loss. Although MB may not be responsible for your relative dying, I would think that it would a be a huge contributing factor in it.

  If there is one thing that MB wants to continue is people remaining silent, through shame or confusion about him taking their money. He doesn’t want people to know. It’s real pity that I removed a lot of my earlier posts. It might have dissuaded people. I was attacked by other posters (probably his ever shrinking fan club) and told I was victimising MB. That I was only trying to take trade away from him thinking that I was rival florist. Nothing to be further from the truth. I’m a teacher and I don’t even live in Northern Ireland any more!

  I really don’t want anyone else to become his next target so either spread the word through the local community, use facebook or continue to use this forum.

  thanks everyone who has commented or private emailed me since i have joined this site and shared my true experience of Mark Boyd and seeing and learning the other side of him that i never would have thought was him or like him but sadly its true..he does seems to have a spilt personality going on here and defo needs to be medically accessed in my humble opinion for what it is worth. I also am still shoaked at the many people who still defend his error ways and seem to have excuse after excuse for him…they obviously havent met mr.nasty mark boyd then and well it wasnt until october 2012 that me and my family have after knowing him for over 33 years!! I so look forward to the days ahead and no doubt many more like me might come forward either on here or via facebook. rollorcoaster of emotions has begun since october 2012 and so hard trying to accept and come to terms with everything and grieving too for the loss of our loved one and the fresh memories of how MB had her so harrassed on xmas eve/xmas week. I can never ever forgive him nor can i forget but i can hold my head up high for speaking the truth and shame the devil…cause he truely is no christian man in my eyes no more and the devil n hell is the next best place for the likes of him!!

  well folks…mr mark boyd has reached an all time low, just when we think we have heard it all and are shaking our heads at disgust at his actions this one really does have to be up there with my own personal review of him. he had borrowed a large lump sum of money from a friend for which he knew fine well were and what this money was to be used for in days ahead.any decent sole would not have asked this good natured person for the money in first place under the circumstances!! so he got the money and promised to repay it and never has even as i type this comment he has made broken promises again and again and still he hasnt repaid. the stephen nolan show exposure is all up in the air at present and wasnt aired in the last series there-many times they promised and renagged on their words! not good publicity for them as many people were anxiously waiting to see their feature. i had spent many many hours helping the show get their story but MB has put the pressure on them, has turned on the tears and made idle threats which he hasnt the balls to carry out and they are weary of his actions and so the feature is shelved:( trust me, i have had words with the producers and journalists involved with the story and many high emotions and anger is floating around at present. If they do run it in the next series after easter time it may be too little too late espically as MB is still at large and preying on people and their money. So many people DO NOT know about him nor are they aware of qype and facebook reviews and people are still being targetted by him!! He still continues to spin off his lies to everyone who has spoken to him lately and that includes apparently his own sister and his brother inlaw, from what i was told by another source, who approached him about his money situtation!

  I have personally now am considering my own next move forward and questioning myself about all i have done so far and the results achieved but yet no result. I know where i stand with some people and where i dont stand with others as people do not wish to public be known that he has conned them which then makes ot harder to get the finally result of exposing him 100% and having everyone back me up.
  If i do go forward i shall keep everyone updated but if yous dont hear from me then do take from it i have stepped back from it all and walking away. Im still grieving remember and dealing with all other emotions that MB has brought into my life since October 2012 so no it hasnt been an easy time and made very hard by him and his nasty texts of threats to me. I know others are suffering too and we each have our own way of dealing with things and our actions and words….i take small comfort that im not alone in this nasty situation he has put us all in.

  Me too. I cannot wait to hear the Nolan Show expose this little twerp for what he is. I am so glad (that however small) that I was a part of pushing for this interview to take place.

  Just in case you are unsure… Mark…. you are a loathsome piece of crud that would give the dirtiest piece of slime a bad name. SO at last all the birds have come to roost. All the disgruntled brides all getting their revenge. And this is not even touching on the dozens (or more) of people you have conned out of money. The OAPs worried about making their next mortgage payment, to my friend you have left without a home to people who’s Christmas you’ve ruined as they are struggling to make their next loan payment…. You get what you deserve!

  If there’s one thing you will learn, it’s what goes around comes around… good luck you’re going to need it.

  So please keep posting. If all he can do is send pathetic text messages… then let him jog on.

  And ACS131 if you haven’t already please get in contact with the Nolan show as it’s important you tell your story. No story is too trivial or unimportant. That’s what MB wants people to remain silent. If you choose silence then it only gives him the green light to get more of God’s money (as he calls it) out of the next vulnerable person.

  So as I said before I wouldn’t piss on him if he was on fire.

  Mark, Wikipedia defines honesty as “Honesty refers to a facet of moral character and connotes positive and virtuous attributes such as integrity, truthfulness and straightforwardness along with the absence of lying, cheating or theft. Honesty is revered in many cultures and religions.” DO you recognise yourself as this? LOL don’t think so!

  Everyone…and i know by posting on here that MB and band of followers are also watching this site but right now i dont give a shite who reads any of my true words…….because till the day im dead will be the only time i will be silenced about Mark Boyd!!!

  Watch this space re the Nolan show and 23rd as it may not happen unless brides come forward and get in touch! 2 have backed out, a 3rd didnt even bother to turn up and filming crew were waiting for her!! So im urging everyone who reads this and knows of someone who will give up 5mins of their time to help me and everyone else invloved in bring this onto the Nolan show to come forward…..

  and for the record it was NOT me nor my ex husband who went to the Nolan show in the first place to report Mark Boyd and it was NOT me who sent a letter to mark Boyd and a copy to his mother-as im being blamed for!!!!
  Helen, Mark Boyd exgirlfriend, was the person who got in touch with Nolan show. And as she wrote to me in message she dont care who knows it was her either so im certainly not naming someone outa turn here!!
  As for who ever it was that sent the letters…GOD and the person responsible for doing the letters knows that answer but shame on for passing the blame onto ME!

  As for receiving threats from Mark Boyd via texts etc…i advise anyone to save them to their sim and phone and make a copy…..PSNI or other departments /people would be only too pleased to see the harrassment and undue stress that MB is afflicting upon people who are speaking out the truth about him!!

  Many people cant sleep or rest easy, are very worried about their future and left to pick up the pieces and sort out their finances all because of Mark Boyd….and what he’s doing…he’s still continuing on do as he does to suit himself and to hell with the rest of us!!!

  Will any brides out there please realise that you playing straight into MB"s hands here as this is exactly what he wants.

  SILENCE

  If enough brides (and grooms!!!) come forward, give only 5 mins of their time, then your help can do 2 things….

  1) Prevent a travesty of a wedding happening to another couple

  2) And very importantly curtail his notion that he can extort money out of elderly vulnerable people and claim it is “God’s money”!

  I realise that there is probably something mentally wrong with MB. His behaviour is not normal. I guess that there is sometimes even honour among thieves but there no sort of mercy with him.

  He cloaks his deeds as God’s work. However, even people like him MUST be stopped.

  So, doing NOTHING is not an option.

  I know its not easy going and speaking face to face with some one about the way that Mark affected what should be the best day of your life, or how he has ruined friendship, or how he has hurt you emotionally promising something and making you feel that he is something that he is so clearly not – but if a few minutes of your time could stop this from happening to someone else then is it worth it?
  I hope this is the wake up call that MB needs. He has been confronted, and helped out on many occasions over the years, but the pull to borow money from people and leave them in HUGE DEBT!!!!! seems too great for him.
  I have no problem with people knowing that it was I who contacted the Nolan show- people have told me that I shouldn’t have, as this will effect my chance of getting any of the many thousands that MB decieved me out of. However, seriously how would he have returned the money back to me or any other person- in an honest way??? Maybe he’s growing a money tree out the back of his mansion- oh sorry he still lives with his mother. (another lie he told me)
  If someone had done something like this when it happened to them years ago – maybe word would have gotten around and I wouldn’t have had my heart broken or be in huge financial diffs.

All those years we grew up along side him and never once woulda believed he was capable of all that he has done and no doubt there is more that we are never likely to hear about but yet he has bitten off the hand of friendship too as he has burnt a few of us along the way as we are now hearing/sharing our stories. the answer to your closing question remains unanswered at present but KARMA does live in this world we live in and im sure that its within arms reach of grabbing Mark Boyd, all a matter of time!

  Totally surprised at the nasty remarks on this site. All true where money is concerned, but having seen MB doing a floral demonstration in a hall with an audience, i would say he is a very talented guy. His arrangements are second to none. His style is amazing and table arrangements are original. The person who commented about him buying vases in Ikea get real. most florist buys their vases in Ikea,some times the vases are cheaper than wholesale. and using net in a vase is very original too. whether its 90p or 9 p florists have or should be making money not doing it for free. Are you saying that flowers in tescos Sansburys and asda are not good. id think the management of those stores would be grossy annoyed if they knew those remarks were made about their merchandise. I sympathise with the lady who’s relative died at Christmas and thats sad, but blaming everything on MB isnt really the thing to do. MB is just a very bad business man who hasn’t grasped the concept of retail costing and profit. and some body has to pay.and its people who have been conned into parting with money.

  Really!!! net in a vase is original with 2 flower heads floating on top,i was so lucky to get this special treatment,not so lucky to have paid a fortune for it tho!the whole point of paying a florist to do your flowers is so they can create a really special service that will wow people,that certainly was not the case at my wedding i could have done a better job myself without the expense.As for Mark,no one is really disputing his ability,its just a shame he didn’t use the best of it at all his weddings he would have had great business and a lot of happy brides,and i think you’ll find he was making rather a lot of profit which certainly was not going back into his business or he would not be in this mess!!!! I’m a little insulted at some of your comments as they seem to make some of us brides complaints as trivial.

  I agree with Scently to an extent when they write he ’hasn’t grasped the concept of retail costing and profit’ but to say that he just lacks business sense is completely wrong. Not only does he lack business sense but he is a compulsive liar. Like a few others on this site, I too have his messages saved as evidence should I need it. He has lied over and over again…

  1. Our money is in the post…no wait it was an oversight on his part and he didn’t actually send it.

  2. (after further communication) Your money will be sent by bankers draft…except that never arrived.

  3. (after even more communication) I will have it sorted asap as soon as I am out of hospital…6 weeks later and I’m still waiting.

  4. I will return your money in instalments…4 weeks later…no payment plan…NO MONEY!!

  So 14 weeks from me supposedly receiving my money after many promises from this man I am still owed the full amount. I do not believe that this can simply be down to poor business management. In my job, if I fell behind on promises and the things I said I would do I would be reprimanded…this is simply unacceptable behaviour.

But I do take into consideration that a lot of untruthful things were said by MB he had that ability to charm and make believe that what he was saying was the truth. I feel for his family especially his mother who has to live with this through no fault of her own.

  Scently, the issue with this little bastard MB is not is floristry skills or lack thereof, but how he has systematically targeted vulnerable people and relieved them of their hard earned money. If it was my relative that MB had putting on pressure like that, I am afraid it wouldn’t be sufficient to post on a website about his actions, I am afraid I would be taking it a little further than that. How would you feel it is was a parent or grandparent of yours?

  He’s a disgusting & loathsome. However, I have feeling that things are about to take a turn for the worse for Mr Unremarkable….. very soon….

  dear scently i worked with mb for over six months , believe me there is a very big difference between flowers from wholesalers and tesco’s . i seen both day in day out. brides aint payin for tescos, if they were they may as well go there and do it themselves. brides who said they got a bit of net in vase arent complaining about the design , thats not what they ordered in the first place!!!!!!!!!!!!!! reason they got that mb had no money to pay for their wedding and used cheapest he cud get his hands on or they wuda got nothing. people pay a flowerist to pride flowers on their wedding day to their specifications and budget not what mb decides they will get dictated by what he has in his wallet. and i dare say not having their churches decorated by a taxi driver with no experiance what so ever in flower arranging!! yes i was asked to dress churches and reception rooms as well on my own. one poor bride got a tesco’s finest bouquet repackaged by me one time(appologies to bride involved i did my best) ask the brides is this what they are paying their hard earned cash for??

  news flash folks it has recently come to my attention mb used his driver was lost as his excuse for late arrival of flowers. i was that driver this summer !!! guess what folks i have worked as a taxi driver for 15 years, and this is the inportant bit I NEVER ONCE GOT LOST!!!!!!! ALL FLOWERS HANDED TO ME WHERE TAKEN DIRECTLY FROM MB’S SHOP TO YOUR HOUSE, AND I NEVER GOT STUCK IN TRAFIC OR HAD A BREAK DOWN WITH MY CAR. (in case he has told anyone this also, covering my bases LOL) reason for late delivery was simply i was hanging around in his shop waiting for him to finish making them up.

  I think that any bride would want the very best on their wedding day, so to promise this and then to deliver the complete and utter crap that mb delivered is certainly be a big disappointment.

  There is no defending MB. He’s a crossed so many lines and I really really hope he gets what he deserves. A prison sentence or worse…

  Eveningstar I am not defending him. I did that for so long and he let me down on ever occassion. he told me that I was the only person he owed money too. he drove my jeep and wrecked it causing £8,000 worth of damage I had to replace the engine. So believe me i feel I dont have to defend him. The thing is I saw weddngs he did and they were spectacular. But over the past year he seems to have gone bad. I am shocked at the way he is behaving. Perhaps i was blind and as he was praying with people he was deceiving them and others. I feel sorry for the people who have been let down, lied too and deceived out of money. Its shocking. I do think there is somthing mentally wrong with a person who acts like this. Perhaps the Nolan show will bring it all out as there are others who have been deceived who dont or havnt used a computer who are in isolation and havnt heard what is going on.

  Well scently, just when I thought that I heard it all……

  I am really sorry, but you know my opinion of mr MB, I wouldn’t have lent him a child’s plastic tow truck! How many times does someone need slapped in the face? Before it becomes painful??

  I would also say that when I knew him he was already bad and since then I would reckon he’s not veered too far from that particular course.

  If he needs help, then for heaven’s sake why hasn’t he sought it, does he need to drag everyone else down with him. An alcoholic’s first step to recovery is to admit his alcoholism. Perhaps MB should admit all the wrong he’s done. And I don’t want the laying of hands or prayer. Thant’s not going to help. Professional help just might.

  Eveningstar I agree he does need some serious help-will he be willing to? I’ve heard he may have mental health problems- however there should be no excuses, he needs to face the truth and the facts. Man up and deal with the consequences no matter how difficult they are. He has made other’s lives very difficult because they thougth they were doing him a favour. Eveningstar I understand what you mean by you don’t want prayer, he’s hurt so many and that might seem like the easy option but I think that is one aspect he does need along with all the rest.

  welcome posterpaint, congrats on having the very good sense to cancel and not to play russian roulette on your wedding day. you have made a very wise desision, alltought you will probably never see a penny back from mr boyd unfortunatly. if you can i would suggest that you save yourself the bother and hassle of chasing him and go directly to trading standards and the small claims court. all the best for your wedding and i’m sure you will now get all that you expect from your new flowerist, i’m sure you have noticed that a reputable flowerist is a bit more expensive , and having read the posts on here you now know why. they deliver what you order on time and all correct. and they pay their suppliers and staff in full on time, and they dont supply cheap crap from tesco’s , asda, marksies, ikea, lidl etc etc.

  hi posterpaint just wondering if you’ve found a new florist yet? im new to this site & have only read ur post if you haven’t booked one yet i would def recommend penelope flowers un kings square. the did my wedding flowers which were stunning & me & my family have used them for everything since including my lovely dad’s funeral! my mother in law sent me a gorgeous bouquet from them for my 40th a few weeks back & ive only just had to throw them out as they lasted sooo long! hope u get sorted & well done for cancelling with mark unremarkable boyd u had a lucky escape!

  I would keep trying for your money. It took me about 2 months to get all my money back but I just hounded and hounded him, calling him from friends phones when he wouldn’t answer my calls. I even went up to his shop when “his taxi driver couldn’t make it into town” on a number of occasions (shame on you theexdriver lol, i’m sure you weren’t even told!) and got lucky as I walked in straight after a potential client so I assume he didn’t want a scene.
  Posterpaint, pm me if you want the details of a great florist- he not only saved the day and made a point of taking my wedding over another on the same day who tried to book while I was still thinking about cancelling Mark but he made the wedding spectacular! My friends are still talking about what a great job he did 6 months later

  i had mark booked for my wedding flowers but i was lucky to get my money back from him. i would highly recommend mrs bouquet when i went to see her after all the stress of having mark booked and having to cancel 6 weeks before my wedding she was so nice my flowers were breath taking and she actually turned up unlike mark. ASK ANYONE IN THE WEDDING INDUSTRY ABOUT HIM THEY ALL KNOW.

  yet another disatisfied customer, welcome misslead. join the very long and growing que. vase’s with water and a few flower heads for table centres , this is his usual table centre most weddings i worked on all got the same , though he seems to have short changed you . the rest all got a little bit of coloured wire twisted in theirs as well. your probably lucky if he spent £50 0n what you got.

  usually he used some sorta orchids £7.50 outa peakes and coloured wire £3.95 a roll. still not bad free vases/martini glasses from suppliers though they were unaware they wudnt be paid at the time and free water from the hotel . and £11.45 for wire and flowers hey presto 10 table centres.

  the flowers in my center pieces were gerbera daisys,quite a few of my guests commented that they had them in their own garden,which annoyed me a little as i thought they were suggesting i did my own flowers which now i wish i had!!

  im glad we had our recent chat. MB switched from his usual vase supplier to ikea after he saw my vases which i bought and had him use for my wedding in 2008, just before yours. Reason being they were cheaper! Theexdriver has truely spilled the beans (being my ex husband does not mean that i knew all of this information beforehand either/as this was purely business relationship that he and MB had going even tho they met via me) on the ins out of how MB has been operating and putting together weddings. his comments regarding the actual prices of flowers/materiels throws a whole new light onto this all and how we now know that MB stole flowers/foilage etc from various gardens/premises and to think how clients are paying up to £400 a time for wedding day flowers…Its awful that suplliers are not being paid. I was always lead to belive that all items on display at his shop and weddings were infact his…just goes to show you how he loved to show off and bring you into a false pretence of his wee world….well it looks like 2013 is gonna bring the truth out and will be interesting to see what lies he makes up to try worm his way out of it all. I do note that a few of his followers on this site have recently shut their gobs and no further comments to back him up have been made on this group…im wondering have they had a change of heart in recent weeks or has he tried to tap them for money or maybe they cheerish their life and are avoiding him like the plague instead of being in an early grave like my family member because of him!!!!!!

  Mr. Unremarkable can threaten all he likes. He has stepped on far too many people’s toes and the.y’re would be a stream of people to put the judge right

  All that needs to be done now is everyone should shun him. Deter anyone visiting him in his shop. To cut off his oxygen supply so to speak.

  Warn everyone in your community not to lend him money. News like this should travel far and wide.

  Perhaps then he will finally get the message that not everyone’s in love with the lovely Mr. Boyd.

  glad to see that im not the only person that Mark Boyd has been sending threating text messages too. On 2 seperate occasions now he has sent me them…all nicely saved on my sim and phone as of my proof just how nasty a guy he is!!
  Hope the ‘christian folk’ are reading this!! had my fill of so called christians this week and how not to upset them or speak outa turn or rock their little churchy boat or ashame them in any way by the likes of me speaking out about Mark Boyd!!!! As for his so called friends…hows you still stand side by side with this guy is a total joke!
  He stood in tesco’s last wednesday night and feed a total pack of lies to an unsuspecting employee (who did not know his error ways-she does now) about his health! yet he was stood bold as brass in his house on thursday and was no where in a hospital bed as he was leading folk to believe he would be!! yet again trying to play the sympathy card on his health.

  well spotted folks!!! hello to mr boyd, i will tell everyone as to why i as an ex member of staff am on here. in my oppinion from what i experianced mr boyd is a liein two faced cheating scumbag who left me in the s**t one time too many with owed wages. he tried to insult my intelligence far to many times , as i previously posted i was well warned not to let him owe me money or lend him any. i was asked repeatedly by him for loans of money or if i knew anyone who would be interested in investing in his bussiness. AS IF !!!!!!!!!! i am not the only ex member of staff on here , i have chatted to the others recently as well. the reason we are on here is to try and warn anyone thinking of giving their hard earned cash to this man . if you dont listen then dont say you were’nt warned!!!!!!!! i was and took notice thats why i kept my eyes and ears open and kept records for my own tax records, and also paid for any flowers with my own tesco club card so i have a record of all purchases there as well. as i previously stated at first i thought he was a bussiness man cutting a few corners , that was untill i fainally came on here and learned the true depths to which he will sink. it was then i immediatly decided to quit , and yes mr boyd did try to not pay me the monies he owed me when i left , but luckily for me i keep records and have an excellent memory and yes i had to use blackmail to get paid, but i did get paid and quiet quickly, guess he did’nt want me telling folk what i know. you’ve all been warned folks , if you dont beleive do a little home work, it aint hard , speak to anyone in floweristry, hotels, wedding suppliers ask them about him!!!! then make up your mind if you want to really hand him your hard earned cash.

  Ontohim, you’ve hit the nail squarely on the head, in the absence of the PSNI being seemingly powerless to do anything because any money given this little creepoid ensures that there is no paper trail or that there’s no agreement in place, the best thing to do is to tell everyone, to warn him of what he’s truly like.

  He prays on the vulnerable and the sick. Gains their confidence. He’s kind to them bringing them little gifts etc. Then once he’s wormed his way into their affections then the puts on the waterworks.

  Now he has them as they willingly hand over thousands of their hard earned cash.

  So if you are reading this Mark, I am afraid the game is well and truly up. There are not enough negative superlatives in the dictionary to describe what you are.

Also would you consider lending Mr Remarkable some money?

  The problem with Mr. Remarkable and being as you quaintly put, closed up and put in jail, is he’s a confidence trickster, he get people to lend him sums of money and never pays them back.

  A friend of mine lent him a considerably large amount of money and he has as much chance of flying to the moon as he has of getting any of his money back.

  well said fellforthelies. to one and all on hear i delivered the flowers on both these occasions as well and i was only paid because i blackmailed the toe rag. i worked with fellforthelies often and can confirm what she has told you all is 100% accurate. this is how brides get flowers at a fraction of the price, hard working people trying to provide for their families go unpaid by mr boyd .

  I was told he used to practically give flowers away to appear to be “The big man”. Unfortunately, this meant that other decent florists were practically forced out of business.

  I would think that anyone who has access to the internet and read these review that there would be virtually no chance of them buying flowers from him. My brother got engaged just before Christmas and Unremarkable would certainly not be somewhere I’d advise his future bride to be going to.

  Mark, you are a complete scumbag. You are a coward. You do not deserve the loyalty of these people. Do the right thing and stop. However, knowing you as I do you wouldn’t even consider that.

  Fellforthelies thank you for coming on here and telling your story. I too fell for the sob story. He told me that the company that paid his tax and vat had gone into recievership and he needed a little short term help. I too helped him on several occasions, running errands, transporting flowers and forking out cash to pay for flowers so that brides actually got flowers because he told me that he had a cheque that was being cashed (cheques were fakes) or money that was being transferred (These were the lies that he told me and we were supposedly going out)
  I would love to know where all his money has gone.
  Word is getting about – how he is going to stay in business is beyond me.
  On a different note I found out last weekend- Mark has been juping people for money, befriending them and getting them to lend money for 20 years.

  Hi Ontohim, it’s very interesting he’s being doing this routine for 20 years, as this would be consistent with what the little I know of his dealings with people, such as conning a certain North Down family out a substantial amount of money about 10 or so years ago.

  The person I know of that he conned out of money, I confronted him, and said that I didn’t think that this was the first time that Mark had done this to someone as the whole episode was so nicely executed by him.

  Isn’t cashing fake cheques fraudulent?

  As regards the money, I don’t know, but he must have been loaned tens, if not hundreds of thousands over this time period. The money? Well who knows, my fear would be that he absconds and leaves for another country with this mess in his wake.

  Hi Eveningstar, he apparently has the cheques, but they are never taken to the bank. He texted me a picture of the cheque and said it was still clearing and he would get the money to me. Does he even has a bank account.

  Its a long time to be living this sort of stressful life of never having any money and creating this fake life, to borrow enough and to up sticks and leave the country – but that wouldn’t surprise me. He told me that he genuinely doesn’t need anyone or any relationship. Its little wonder he has as many health problems as he has and I would imagine they will only get worse- as you can lie to yourself for so long and then you emotions and subconscious become so acidic and effect your physical life.

  Just heard from 2 sources- one a bride who’s parents still get text messages from MB asking for money on a regular basis. Any brides out there – be careful that you don’t lend him anything.
  Also another friend has just informed me that someone lent MB a significant amount in Oct/Nov time. More than 10k.

  Good idea ontohim. Any prospective brides out there should be warned not to have any dealings with him or to lend him any money.

  I am also afraid that the people who have leant him money have very little chance of getting any of their money back. My friend lent him 10s of thousands. He used to borrow more of him then give it back to him as a payment if it wasn’t so pathetic it might be funny….

  He has to be stopped. This situation cannot be allowed to continue. He’s already annoyed the wrong kind of people so he’s on shaky ground as it is….

  hi eveningstar, ontohim, i have seen his little stash of cheques, when u corner the rat he will show u one then tell u he has to pay it into his account. this is to get u outa his face/shop so u dont cause a fuss in front of new victims. also in the entire time i worked for him i only once saw him go into a bank. i very much doubt he even has an account, and definatly not at the branch of barcleys in ballyhackamore. if this bank knew how much he uses them as an excuse i’m sure they would sue him for defaming their bussiness. also last summer he used the computer shut down at ulster bank as his excuse to folks for having no money.

  Just heard the news that my brother has got engaged. I guess I won’t be advising his future bride to go to Remarkable Mark! I don’t think so!!!!! But great news nonetheless.

  The police can not do anything about money asked for and given voluntarily. Stealing is a different matter, but the law will protect a person who is defamed with out evidence to back it up. Anyone saying M.B stole money would need evidence or they could find themselves in a court for defamatory statements. So be careful what you write here. People have been prosecuted for saying stuff on social sites.

  Actually, when you complete a search of all the comments on this page, the only mention of stealing is from the verified incidence of Mark stealing from his own church.

  So no one has actually mentioned Mark stealing from people. He’s much too subtle for that. He gains people’s confidence, worms his way into their affections, and asks them to “donate/give” him money, no agreements in place and the debt nicely stays in the donor’s name and not his. Hell, the business is listed in someone else’s name! Not even his name!

  So if you wish he has stolen Christmas from a lot of people on here as they are in financial difficulties as they “donated” money to him. Well, at least the Grinch learnt his lesson, but I really doubt that Mark ever will.

  I hear what your saying and i am not defending him in any way. But unless you have actual evidence that he stole the money from a church or a factual account of him being caught with it, you could end up in a civil court for defamation. and i see what you say about confidence tricks worming etc as you say. Thats not stealing. Giving or donating isnt stealing either. It might be obtaining money by false pretences, but its not stealing.

  hi scently, i hear what ur saying but i doubt anyone on here will ever hear a word from mr boyd or solicitors. the last thing he wants are police and the courts looking into his affairs!!!! or even the tax man!!!! his m.o. is to fob off the reveiws on here as people with grudges against him telling lies!!!anyone reading these bad reveiws shud ask themselves a few questions?? why are so many people so pissed off?? ex workers , supliers, and customers?? we cant all be telling lies. and unlike most there are now 3 ex members of staff on here. we are the best position of all to know exactly how he works . we can vouch 100% for the lies and deciet ,the broken promises and the shoddy services supplied, and yes on the occasions people get all that they have ordered on their big day!!! now people get to know why, not because of mr boyd, but the peolpe behind the scenes working hard to try and give a good service, even though they themselves are unpaid and yes conned into working hard for remarkable flowers aka tesco/asda/marksies.

  Exactly, theexdriver the last thing he’d want would someone poking about in his ever so murky affairs. I am very surprised that Mr Tax man hasn’t come a-calling as an investigation can be extremely thorough.

  I would imagine that any future brides would google mr remarkable and find out what he’s really like. Also, constantly posting like this and mentioning Mr Mark Boyd of Remarkable flowers keeps remarkable highly relevant in google’s search engine and its indexes.

  It’s truly awful that the “good people” have to step in at their own expense to make up for Mark. It’s pity that he has no intention of paying these kind people.

  I just wonder how long this can go on for…..

  hi eveningstar in fact he has been accused of stealing on 3 occasions on here , twice by ex members of staff. i have posted that he asked me at easter to get him daffodils from the side of the road that had been planted on public property and when i refused/made excusses i later witnessed him remove them in person , also i and another member of staff have posted previous that on many occassions we have both witnessed him taking ivy for wedding decorations from both private and public property ie. church/hotel grounds, without permission of the property owners. this was a regular occourance at virtually every wedding i worked on ivy was never purchased for wedding decorations the entire time i worked there.

  dear scently please get your facts straight borrowing money from people and promising to pay it back and then not doing so is illegal. it is called obtaining money by deception!!! and the main reason that the police do not do anything is that it is incedibly hard to prove in court unless there are a large number of victims willing to go to court and thus show a pattern.
