Marks & Spencer Simply Food

Small store, but so glad they have one! Rather than just buying junk and fast food it means I can buy quality yummy food. The queue goes really fast as lots of checkout staff.

full of lovely goodies that you have been dying for as you come off the plane. I always get bread milk etc from here when i land. It is busy but there are always a few tills open

This small branch of the 'Simply Food’ style of M&S sells mostly those items to take with you on your flight (ie lots of sandwiches, snacks, drinks, etc) and those to take home if you don’t fancy cooking on arrival - ie ready meals, prepared salads.

It’s actually accessible from the departures hall as well, by walking around the end of check-in area A. This and Pret a Manger provide the two sources of better quality sandwiches to take with you on a flight, especially if travelling with a budget airline - I prefer their vegetarian/vegan choice to that in Boots, which is also close by.

The only downside is that it can often get very busy, so you may have to wait a few minutes to get served. Fine most of the time, but not if you are running to catch a train or flight!
