As The Point's owner, I'm devastated that Marc made you feel the way he did, and can reassure you that the matter has been dealt with by myself. This level of customer service is not typical of what a visit to The Point offers, as you mentioned with the other members of the team you had contact with that day.
Please would you come back and give us another chance?
Your criticisms are gratefully received, taken positively, and essential for business owners like myself.I would like to offer you your next haircut free of charge, and if you're happy with that, I would like to do it myself?

I had a colour change from brown/blonde ombré to much blonder. I am so pleased with the result! My hair usually goes very orangey when bleached, but it's come out lovely and shiny. The Cut is great too, just what i wanted and I will definitely go back again!

Good service, relatively cheap, and handily close to the North Laine.
Highly recommended.

I grew up in Brighton and I’ve tried all the hairdressers in town, but I always return to The Point. Ian is amazing and all the other staff are kind, thoughtful and keen to get it right. Most importantly, I always walk out with brilliant hair! Worth £40 even though I am a very poor student.

I love the Point! Charlotte is the hairdresser I ask for.
I first had Charlotte when she took me from a brassy (badly home dyed many times) copper colour to a beachy blonde. It took 4 and a half hours but I was really looked after throughout the day. The colour was amazing and very good customer service from the salon with cups of tea on tap!
I went back to Charlotte a second time to have my long locks chopped to get rid of the scraggly ends. She brightened the blonde and gave me a really good cut, again with amazing customer service from the salon.
If you want a relaxed appointment, with enough staff to cater for your needs (unlike the chain salons in Brighton who seem to want to whisk you in and out of that chair and forget your drink!), go to the Point :)

Its a shame Laura 244 was not happy with Marc at the point, I personally have never had a better hairdresser. I trust him profusely with my appearance and have never left without being 100% happy with the service provided. I am sad to hear that he has moved on, as I have followed him from Headmasters to The Point and I would like to stay in touch.
Other than that, The Point is a lovely salon, stylish and relaxing with friendly staff.

I think customer Laura got bit touchy.ive been to The Point few times same as my boyfriend and we both come back to The Point and we do mostly because of Marc.receptionists are always friendly and helpful and when it comes to Marc i know i can put my hair in his hands without a fear.he doesnt treat my hair as an experimental field like some hairdressers and it looks nice even few weeks after a cut.and his friendliness makes me always feel welcome .also my boyfriend is very happy with Marc .before he didnt want to pay for haircut more than 10 pounds but it it has changed since i recommended him Marc.I know how hard is to find a hairdresser that suits you , I found one in Marc and I feel customer Laura overreacted.some people may find silly when hairdresser recommends them expensive products but in my experience and I dont belong to people earning a lot these products are just better.even in pharmacy you are often offered more expensive products.often for quality we have to pay more .for me The Point is great salon with great service and I planning on coming back there as often as my hair needs it as I know it will be treated there with a required care.

I think The Point is great. I have been a customer there for 10 years and have always been happy with the results. Also, I like their record-keeping and you get the person you want that way. Generally, everyone is very friendly, and Ian the boss will sort things out if you are in any way unhappy.

I give The Point a 2 purely because the reception lady and the lady that washed my hair were lovely but Mark was negative and insulting about my hair and the attention paid to it from beginning to end. I have never been to a hairdresser that feels the need to criticise (in the third person) so much! At the time i took the comments as they were not direct but the more i have thought about them, the more i have felt annoyed.
Women have there hair cut for a number of reasons, one of which is to feel better about themselves. I know how to look after my hair and anyone that makes you feel bad for not spending money on expensive hair products does not get my vote. You spend what you can afford and when you earn little more than £12,000 a year that isn't alot.

Wow, what a great attitude from the Salon owner. I think this is a really nice gesture. It’s natural that hairdressers will want to advise you on how to care for your hair but they should not be negative about it. It’s true that for many when we go to the hairdressers it’s partly to help us feel better about ourselves. Haircuts are available in Brighton for £9 and if you are on a low wage then it’s probably a real treat to go somewhere that charges around £40. I have had my hair cut by Nick many times and always been very happy however I don’t go very often due to the cost. I have been tempted to go elsewhere occassionally to save money and also have a terrible habit of chopping at my own hair between cuts. I am often embarrassed to go in and get my hair cut after a long period of neglect and with my hair in not too good shape but Nick has always been very nice about it and I like that he never tries to sell me expensive products either. It’s been a while but I have just booked myself in have my haircut as a treat on my birthday.. it’s been a while I’m afraid – sorry Nick!

I’ve not been on this website for some time so only just read your messages.
Thanks Ian for offering to cut my hair free of charge, as loadofnonsense said, that was a very nice gesture to make.
I’d be a bit embarrassed to come in to the salon though after having written the comments I made last year, but thank you none the less. It was nice to know that you had spoken to Marc.
