Forgot to say above about the parking. I thought it might be difficult as I know how busy it gets round here but it looks like that's at the bottom of Hinckley Rd. The road I tried just above the salon had loads of spaces on it and no restrictions so I wasn't worrying about a ticket like I have been for salons on Braunstone Gate.

I feel relaxed the second i walk in. I need to get my roots done every six to eight weeks and what was a chore at previous hairdressers is now a pleasure! Great atmosphere, refreshments, lovely people and not to mention a fantastic cut and colour!! Cannot recommend enough.

So glad I found Malcolm & Joe at Malcolm Murphy Hair. It is a lovley chic atmosphere to have your hair done where the customer is always listened to. I have recommended them to my 18 year old daughter and she is delighted with Joe doing her hair. A top notch service (with cup cakes!) for a very fair price - what more could you ask for ? Part-time sylist Liddy fitted me in for a last minute fringe trim whilst Malc was away and she was great.

Absoloutly love it! Been looking for good hairdressers in Leicester for some time now. I wasn’t happy with my old hairdressers so needed a good excuse to leave, when i got a new job in Leicester it seemed the perfect excuse! I don’t get much time away from the kids so my time at the hairdressers is absolute bliss! The staff are disarmingly friendly i always have a good laugh and leave with a fab cut and colour. Im saving up for my kerastraight now!

Best to book as i sometimes find it difficult to get an appointment. Really friendly guys with a pretty swanky set up. Always really good haircuts, value for my money and always treated well. Highly recommended.

I had my hair coloured and styled here today and it looks fab. I've been once before for a cut and blow dry which went well so decided to jump in with highlights this time. The actual salon is lovely with alot of gold accessories including some amazing gold chairs which is what drew me into the salon in the first place when it opened. They seem to have thought about lots of little details which make a visit to the hairdressers special, I even got Oreo's and praline seashells with my cup of tea not the usual tasteless biscuit in a plastic wrapper that I've had in other salons.
So overall good hair, lovely decor, fab service. I reckon it's one of Leicester's hidden gems so go and try it out before they get too busy.

Relatively new salon that opened up on Hinckley rd recently. I work just outside of town and pass it everyday on my way to work. I've never been particularly loyal to one hairdresser so was happy to to try after recommendation from a friend. Honestly so happy I did, defiantly the best salon i have been too in leicester. The salon was immaculate but i didn't feel uncomfortable or intimidated. Wanted to go shorter but not usually very daring, malcolm explained what he was going to do and ended up looking amazing. Booked my second appointment for june, money well spent.
