Forever 21, Chicago

This is not high-end shopping. This is…I need something quick and cute that I can wear twice and throw in the trash shopping. This is…I can wear this shirt to the bar and not mind that I only spent $15 on a top that will smell like cigarettes and maybe get vodka spilled on it shopping.

I admit, as a 26 year old professional woman I should not be shopping at Forever 21. But, I am also a 26 year old on a limited budget who doesn’t have $50 to blow on a top at Bebe, Akira or some boutique shop on Division or Oak St.

I pop my head in here to check out anything that is cute to go out in and know I won’t blow my budget, and the basic tee’s are pretty hard to beat at around $5-$7 a pop. The jewelry is crap, and I’m constantly annoyed that the clothes on the mannequins are never actually on the racks?! I am also constantly amused by the “color grouping” in the store…yellow and purple, who knew?

Oh well, this is the price you pay for shopping at a teeny bopper store in Water Tower Place. Don’t complain, you just got a shirt for Saturday night that is cheaper than your cocktail downtown.
