Elizabeth Castle

One of the loveliest visits in the all beautiful island of Jersy.  Wonderful memories with our children...especially on the day we nearly got caught out with tide.  The castle a great backdrop for some great shots. You can take an apartment which gives fabulous views.

Elizabeth Castle is located on St Helier coast on the Island of Jersey, It’s an impressive site, especially when the tide is in.

You can walk to the castle if the tide is out along a purpose built causeway - but if the tide is in, (and lets not forget that Jersey has one of the fasted tides in Britain so don’t get caught out) you can catch a tractor boat to the castle, which is quite fun!

The castle itself is full of history, from not only when it was originally built, but from the German occupation of jersey during World War 2, so if you like your history then Elizabeth Castle is a must see.

There’s a cafe inside, and you can even rent out some of the buildings on the castle as they’ve been converted to holiday lets - although you would be restricted by the tide as the tractor doesn’t run all the time.
