Gerry's Wines and Spirits

In my opinion this is not THE best, but one of the best places in Leeds to buy booze. If you’re just after a 4 pack of Fosters then I wouldn’t come here. This is the place to come for more exotic drinks.

I haven’t found the staff unfriendly, i’ve always found them to be really friendly compared to the miserable people you get at places like Rhythm and Booze. They seem to be very knowledgeable and seem to be really passionate about alcohol.

Gerrys does get points lost for price as some things you can find anywhere else is a bit more expensive, but this place is really the sort of shop you’d go to for a quality spirit or wine for a special occasion. Beers, spirits and wines you can’t find in your local Tesco Express is where Gerry’s excels. I wouldn’t shop here every week for alcohol. You’d really need to be earning a high amount of money.

Conclusion: it’s a decent shop, you could do worse than come here :)

I went into Gerry’s browsing for something new to try and i can honestly say i will never give them my custom, nor recommend them to anyone!
After browsing for a short period of time, the assistant made me feel incredibly awkward and unwelcome in the shop. Never the less, due to their selection i persisted in my pursuit of a new drink to try.
The service was insulting and snobbery and its best. For the money you pay for the premium drinks service with a smile would be the least you would expect. I took my selection to the counter and was greeted by a tut from the assistant and a long wait whilst he dragged himself behind the counter to serve me.
At this point i was annoyed but pleased with what i had found so continued with the purchase.
The marked price on the shelf was apparently an old offer that should have been removed, i questioned under customer trades act did he not have to sell it to me at the stated price; and surprisingly received another indignant reply amounting to no.
I was previously a loyal and happy customer Gerry’s however NEVER again!
Harvey Nichols is just down the road and sells a similar variety albeit a little more expensive, but im willing to pay that for manners and a smile

Ah the off license of gerrys! How you complete me the selection of spirits here is off the charts. Everything from whiskey to rum to tequila to gin to bourbon well you get point. I go here for every special occasion that requires me to bring a bottle to and the staff are on hand to help you make those tough decisions. If your in town and are looking for something different in the liquor or wine department this is definitely the store for you.
