We are sorry to hear that you are not happy with the booking service. We take your feedback seriously. If you could possibly email us on info@travelstay.com we will be in touch to get more feedback and find out if you have any suggestions for how we can make it clearer that, like many websites (eg hostelworld, hostelbookers, etc) we take a deposit at the time of booking, and the balance is payable upon arrival.
All pricing is based upon the Total Price for your stay, which is quoted in the book page, and this total price is broken into 2 payments, one at the time of booking and the other upon arrival. I can assure you that you will not have paid any more than the total cost of your stay, but I will double check all details once I hear from you.
We currently display the deposit value, the balance value and the total cost in the book page, booking policy page, booking confirmation page, booking confirmation email, FAQs and help pages.

I booked a hostel for 2 nights through travelstay.com. I paid £16 online, which I believed to be the entire payment. Nowhere as I was making the booking did it say that I would have to pay more upon arrival. You can imagine my surprise when I got to the hostel to be asked to pay another £17. The receptionist looked at my booking form and highlighted the small print, which did say that further payment was due at arrival at the hostel. But, I repeat, NOWHERE online as I was making my payment was I warned that this was not the final payment. I feel totally robbed by travelstay. They make out that they are offering rooms for s very cheap rate, when infact they are just taking a huge deposit. I am not upset at the price I paid for the room, I am furious at travelstay.com that they do not tell you before proceeding with card payment that there will be more to pay upon arrival. Thieves

This place is great as well as the service. My mom and I stayed for two days and we really appreciate everything. This is totally amazing! note that the price is affordable too. You should come and see the place.

Recent visit to London for the Paralympics greatly facilitated by TravelStay's excellent service, which located good, affordable accommodation for me in one of their partner hotels at very short notice. Booking was straightforward and amendments (extensions to stay) were easy to arrange. They will definitely be my first port of call for all future travel accommodation requirements in London. Highly recommended by Keith from Gloucester.

I found TravelStay.com while looking for some nice and inexpensive hostels in London. The website is easy to use and has many options to sort the desirable acommodation. There are a lot of useful information on the hostels - from directions, check-in time to main attractions that are around the place. The price of the B&B we went to was cheaper on the TravelStay.com comparing to other well known websites. And the place itself was perfect! Clean, cosy, friendly owner, close to the city center.

I was recommended TravelStay.com. The staff were extremely helpful and suggested a most appropriate hotel, which was clean and close to Kings Cross for a party of school chidren. I shall use TravelStay.com again next time. Thank you all. Jane

I accidentally came across Travelstay.com. I was impressed at the value of the budget hotel that I was able to book during the Paralympics...in Stratford as well!! Other places were charging 2 to 3 times as much. Due to unfortunate circumstances, that particular hotel could not accommodate us...only finding this out on the day we were travelling from Halifax. As you can imagine, I was not pleased....However the professionalism shown by Alison at Travelstay was perfect!! With very short notice, she organised another hotel for us...1/4 of a mile away from the Stratford Hotel but still in Stratford. I was really impressed with this service....for a moment I thought I was going to in a lot of trouble with nowhere to stay.....In the end we had somewhere to stay and enjoyed David Weir winning GOLD at the games.....Thanks Alison!! ....Thanks Travelstay!!

I accidentaly found the site 'TravelStay.com' on the Internet and was extremely happy about it. The site is easy to navigate and works really efficiently. I managed to find the cheapest prices. I spent fantastic 5 days in London enjoying my stay in a hotel which was really good value for money. I find TravelStay.com extremely reliable and trustworthy.

Found us a cheap, clean, convenient and secure place to rest for the night and shower.
Thought the deal was too good to be true, especially when we only paid the deposit in advance,
It would be good to be able to pay the whole thing up front as an option, but generally very happy with how easy it was, and with the room found for us.

TravelStay is a very helpful website when looking for accommodation. The prices are very affordable and there is a great choice of places to stay. The website is very easy to follow and gives plenty of information about all accommodation. I would certainly use this website again and would highly recommend it!

TravelStay.com has provided very central and budgeting but also high standard hostel. We enjoyed very much for our stay in LSE university hall through Travel Stay booking. Simple and quick and secure bookings. I will definitely use it again and I have already introduced to our friends.

I've been using Travelstay when booking cheap accommodation in London for the last 3 or 4 years. Apart from one time I've always been happy with the accommodation and the one time there was a problem (the hotel added on an unadvertised 'credit card fee') Travelstay sorted it out quickly with the minimum of fuss. I'd happily use Travelstay again.

I used travel stay to book my hostel in Camden this past week and it was great. The hostel was perfectly described and was in a great location, cheap, and everyone that worked there was really nice. i would definitely recommend going through them to book your hostel. The reviews that I read were accurate and very descriptive which helped a lot. If you're traveling through the U.K. then bookmark their page because you will need it.

This was the first time I used TravelStay.com. I found a triple room at a reasonably priced hotel in a nice area that I knew in West London. Staff were very pleasant and the room better than I had expected. I will definitely use TravelStay.com again - I like to check out the standard of service in this country as well as abroad.

Well to be honest this is everything I needed for my night in London - the Hammersmith Rooms were in range of everything I would've needed in terms of food, shops and pubs!
Room is very minimalist which isn't to say it isn't extremely comfy - the mattresses are like a hug!!
Me and my girlfriend weren't disturbed by any staff at all during our stay so we really felt in control of how to spend our time.

My first experience booking through TravelStay.com and very satisfied and happy my advance booking for a room in central London to celebrate the Queen's Jubilee was so easy and straight forward. Hotel was in the most strategic location, a mere 2 min walk from Kings Cross station. Speedy check-in and check-out with very friendly and helpful front desk staff. Clean room and good beds. Definitely checking out TravelStay.com first for my future trips.
