this is one of those temporary festival venues, built on the site of the former gilded balloon in the cowgate, its a mixture between a marquee and an outdoor barbeque…in fact last year they HAD an outdoor barbeque (which was fine if the wind was blowing in the right direction and choking if not) ther is a bar serving fine wines, tea and coffee and my personal favourite..champagne, and another serving the usual bottled beers and spirits. the gangway up to the bars is a bit sketchy and the trek to the loos was unlit most of last year but heyho its edinburgh, its the festival, theres a lot worse to contend with! there are two large tents which house a variety of comedy performances throughout the day.
