I have recently been to the Supperclub for my first time and what an absolutely delightful experience it was! Alicia turned out to be a fantastic host and the regulars weren’t surprised one bit! Veena and Maurelio cooked a delicious Vegan feast with innovative combinations from cuisines all around the world, and it was a treat to say the least. Moreover, most of the money goes to charity, so that’s great work.
Finally, the people were great, and suffice to say we ate for 4 hours.

I was really looking forward to the International Vegan Supperclub (my first visit to Parkholme) and it didn’t disappoint! Veena and Maurelio created an amazing feast – the 14 dish menu looked mouth-watering and the reality was even more delicious! Combined with a beautiful setting and great company it was a fantastic evening. Alicia, Veena and Maurelio are an inspiration!

Had an absolutely delightful evening at the Parkholme Supper Club. Interesting Russian dishes in generous portions and company of lovely people. The desserts were sublime and there was plenty too! Would love to be back again.

My visit to Parkholme Supper Club was an absolute joy. Surrounded by a couple of friends, the evening could not have been more relaxed and fun. The food, which ultimately is the most important part of the evening, was absolutely delicious. As someone who loves their food, it was so nice to try cuisine I have never tried before. The price of the food is very good value, given the portion size and that the evening is being run to contribute to fundraising for Medecins Sans Frontieres - Ethical eating done exceptionally well. I agree with other reviewers that you would pay more for less food of a lesser quality elsewhere. What a fabulous evening and my compliments to Alicia and her wonderful supporter, Reena for pulling together such a great meal. I'll be back!

This one is a real gem. I must confess to having lost count how often I've been to one of these evenings. What keeps me going back is the diversity and originality of the cooking, the enthusiastic, personable hosting and the ever interesting company. My only complaint is the overeating which I can only blame myself for.
In short, expect top restaurant cooking combined with homeliness at a price that wont break the bank. And to top it off, the majority of the money goes to a good cause.

My first supper club experience, and I need not look further. I went to 2 (actually it was 3) Little Mermaids fish night. The 'Mermaids' were up at 5am to go to Billingsgate, and with their catch they produced 7 fish dishes from around the world, as well as 3 side dishes and 2 desserts. Each dish was the best I've ever tasted - the Cantonese steamed seabass was the freshest I've ever had, Fillipino mackerel 'cerviche' in coconut was sublime, as were the Vietnamese prawn spring rolls with fresh herbs and grilled squid with mango and avocado salsa. Spaghetti vongole was amongst the best I've tasted, Indian baked fish with fresh green herbs mouthwatering, grilled mackerel with green bean and caper salad a touch of magic. I loved the salads and broccoli with garlic and chilli too.
The Mermaids really excelled themselves on the night, and managed to stay awake and be sociable and funny too. For what? Not for money - we paid just £5 each for the ingredients. And donated £25 to my favourite charity MSF. There were some very happy guests - some serial visitors - and tummies, but the real winners are all the people they are helping around the world. What a great concept. What great people. Well done Mermaids! I look forward to your next culinary incarnation!

Parkholme has a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere but the food (not to mention Alicia, the host) is the star. I went to a Chinese evening. The seven-course menu started with expertly home-made dumplings and there was enough food to feed all 14 of us three times over. It's all driven by Alicia's love of cooking and entertaining and proceeds go to Medecins Sans Frontieres.

Wow, what an experience!
We went to the Syrian meal on 2 April and were treated to delicious food in very pretty surroundings. Almost all the dishes were things I probably wouldn't have eaten elsewhere in town which made the experience all the more authentic, and are truly reflective Alicia's experiences Syria. There was plenty of choice as you would expect with a mezze style buffet and the quality of the cooking was excellent.
Alicia (who's brainchild this was) and Reena her sidekick were great hosts - intelligent, engaging and with a great sense of humor. They really made the evening what it was, and I for sure, will be back! (hopefully with freinds!).
The fact most of the reasonable charge (£25 per person) is donated to charity makes this all the more a worthwhile experience.

Great experience, amazing house and great company ranging from City finance to creative industry professionals. Never a dull moment! The food is varied, tasty and not usually found in restaurants i.e. would only ever get it if home cooked. Most of the dishes have personal stories associated with them e.g. a rare family recipe. Been to Nyonya night and Hainanese Chicken Rice blow-out (had to starve myself viciously the whole day before the dinner and still came away totally FULL). Excellent value for money and better still, a great way to support Medicin sans Frontiere.

Great food, great hosts, great location!
I have been to Alicia's supperclub twice - Italian and Syrian nights. A delicious array of authentic food cooked with love.
It's also a great way to meet interesting people - an all round great night out :-)

a lovely home, lovely host, and lovely company. Alicia knows how to host a dinner party, and I leave everytime a bit drunk and a bit sick - from excessive eatting! If you go, I highly recommend that you eat lightly during the day in preparation. I've been there 3 times now, Georgian, Malaysian and Italian, all of which has been a treat.

This is a real experience. Alicia works full time but is able to produce the most amazing meals (sometimes the number of courses are beyond counting) from very different cuisines (Italian, Syrian, Malaysian, French etc.). Dinners are held in her lovely house - I have shared food at her open table with an wide range of people - the true range of Hackney residents - people have started to travel a distance and it can be hard to get a seat. The delight of these evenings includes the quality of the food (which is of a tremendous quality), the generosity and talent of the hostess and the knowledge that every mouthful means that a large donation is made to MSF. The food is better than that found in expensive restaurants staffed by professional chefs. Bring your own wine and share your neighbour's - no corkage. Thoroughly recommended.
