Very overcrowded and staff is very slow.
Fish I ordered was more bone than fish which was ironic as it was listed as ‘boneless’. Partner’s meal was nice though.
Wine was very good but not great.
Overpriced.

This is one of my favourite places to eat in leicester, they often have weekday evening menus where its six courses for £20 a head and they are full courses and I am usually very full after. I once had a problem with service and the owner phoned me and aplogised and gave me 2 for 1 on our next meal there and a bottle of wine so excellent customer service from him. great food, excellent central location, booking recommended.

Nice unchanging decor (no gimmicks here: same menu, same furniture) which extends to the food itself: consistently good French standards and a few others too. The steak-frites is top notch, though, so I’m not sure why you’d need anything else (although there are good vegetarian options too, for the non-carnivorous). Well done for sticking to what they’re good at! As pendulum says, the stairs to the toilets and empty areas upstairs are neverending: so why is the ground floor often packed?

Great restaurant. Good atmosphere. Cood decor. Recommended by a friend. Food is consistent, but not much changes to the menu for years. Often has promotions during the weekday which makes it good value for money. Seems popular with student’s families when they visit their children during the weekend.

I love this restaurant. It is quite hip (no really) now, the French style, clutterred decor gives a nice intimate atmosphere which is only boosted by the friendly, welcoming staff. The menu changes seasonally and they also have a number of special gourmet nights, including an option for a specially chosen wine with each course.
They have a number of offers which make what is an upmarket restaurant in leicester more affordable to us plebs, I would recommend the lunch time prix fixe menu, it’s really good. They also have a lovely selection of wines which are a little pricey, but always very enjoyable.
The only downside I can think of is the sheer number of stairs you need to ascend to get to the loo!!
