Apres, Stafford

Apres is at the end and opposite side of the town centre to the clubs and bars of Stafford. Although, this isn’t a bad thing.

Apres is a bar with very nice décor, and it can get quite warm due to the appealing (and ofcourse, warm) fires that are dotted around the room. Nice to look at, but don’t sit right next to them!

Everytime I have been here, the drinks have gotten a bit on the expensive side. But, they do specials on pitchers of cocktails from X hour (I don’t know what hour it is) until 9pm Sunday to Thursday I believe, but I keep arriving after 9!

It isn’t terribly spacious either and you do get the feeling even when there’s only 20 or so people in here that the place is a lot busier than it seems.

All in all though, I do like Apres, but the prices are a little too steep for me to warrant going here on a regular basis.

Apres is a lovely place. Its very big and airy, with a brilliant beer garden, with a bar that opens outdoors in the summer. In winter there are numerous fires indoors to sit near and warm up. Food is lovely and the drinks are fairly expensive but not terribly. They have cheap drinks during happy hour (which i think is around 5 - 8pm). Late on during weekend nights music is turned up to a point where general conversation isn’t possible. I would definately recommend Apres for a meal or couple of drinks.

this is our second stop on a night out. if you get here early in the evening its usualy empty so easy to get served, and they do usually have some good deals on the drinks. later in the evening is does tend to get really busy and as its not a very big place we tend to avoid it.

Apres is nice. A little over priced usually but they always have special deals on. Monday is the best for food because they have buy one get one free on all pizzas after 3pm.
Drinks are also cheaper between 3 and 8 between Sunday and Thursday (many double spirit & mixer = £3.00) Jugs of cocktails also become student friendly price wise after 3pm.

Oh, also, Apres have this brilliant pizza delivery service. Any pizza is £5.00 when its take away and I think delivery is free.
